Who uses Omega chemicals for Fleet Washing?

Good evening everyone,

I am in the process of getting into the fleet washing scene and wanted to know if anyone has ever used acids and soaps from Omega Chemical's. The two chemicals I have thought about getting are Safe-T-Bright which is obviously a brightener and also Pro-White Truck Wash.

Safe-T-Bright is produced and based off of Citric Acid and blended with three other acids and safe on glass.

Pro-White Truck Wash which incorporates a blend of powdered detergents, builders and foaming agents.

What do you guys think of these products and if you have used it before please give me some feedback on them.

Thank you!

I have used that brand of chemicals and they are good.

I have used the Safe-T-Bright, the AB-55 and some of the soaps. The AB-55 is a strong aluminum brightener and has HF acid in it so you have to be very careful with it.

I did not like the Pro-White, maybe I did not mix it good enough but I ended up using different soaps for different accounts.

Panel Bright from Russ at Southside is a good strong soap but you have to be careful with it like many soaps out there, there are many precautions to listen to.

Rarely will you find one brightener and one soap that is great for every fleet in America.

You have to try stuff out to see if it will work on a fleet, different environments, humidity, salt air, being close to water, amount of rain in the area, etc.... are all factors that you have to consider when trying out cleaning detergents as so many out there and not all will perform the same on different fleets.

Tried it, good stuff, but may be overpriced. IMO. Agree with chris, you won't find a couple products to work on all fleets. Russ has got some good soap that will come in handy for a lot of fleets.

Here is a huge tip: Most of the "all in one" or "this will clean everything" or "General Purpose Cleaner" or whatever they want to call it are not good cleaners for fleets, been there and tried a few that were garbage.

Panel Bright is a great soap but talk to Russ about it and listen to what he says as soaps are great but too weak or too strong will not be good.

Lets not get started on Omega chemicals like Gilliam said hes a middleman not sure if he would know what a formula was or is he markets himself well and well thats it.

I have used safety bright and magnum k.magnum k was... ok. Good alkaline soap... but his videos mislead me. I am still waiting to see a true one step detergent.the soap was way overpriced and he had given me unreal dillution ratios.once I figured out how to optimise my ratio. I still was spending too much per truck.. no good.

Omega Chemical Corp is not a "middle man."

All he does is middle man chemicals.
He has them private labeled. If you order from him you can see where they come from. There is also other people that sell the same stuff as well.
I don't think they jack up the price as much tho. Best bang for your buck is to call Russ like others said. He blends it right there.

This is incorrect information. Omega Chemical Corp owns all of it chemical formulations and was the sole entity involved in their development in the 1980's and 1990's in Chicago. We did have the collaboration of some professional chemists at the time but their role was strictly advisory. I personally ran our blending operation for many years and then began the blending operation that now employs 25 blending techs an does our blending for us based strictly on our proprietary formulas. Thank you for allowing me to set the record straight. Jerry D. Kaifetz, Ph.D., C.E.O. Omega Chemical.
