Are Internet Forums a thing of the past?

I've not had alot time over the last year to spend much time on this site (which was the only one that I went to anyway), but stopped in a few weeks ago and was very suprised to see the lack of activity. Some of the posts were several weeks old without replies. I think that Facebook and other Social Media is to blame and curious to know your thoughts. Ron, are you seeing a decline as a result of the many Facebook groups that seem to have very active involvment?

I like these boards because guys can't get on and make posts making statements then delete them later when they are questioned making the entire thread meaningless.

Once it's here, it's here and its searchable for years.

I guess people who want to keep on changing what they say or saying one thing to one person and another to another would prefer Facebook or other things like that.

Unless you've got an administrator in cahoots like Beth who will delete entire threads. I guess even boards can run with no integrity or accountability.

I know the question was given to Ron, but I believe this, and the convenience and speed of facebook and other social media is the reason for the slowdown. Forums have been around for a long time. I was on a private investigator BBS back in the 80s' that was 300 baud dialup.

You have to admit that is funny. Tony's post then the edit by Scott. On a serious note. Why can't anyone see thru the stuff that Beth and others are doing?

The newer generation likes FB etc while the older ones seem to prefer the BBS but that is not always the case. Forums will be around because in 6 days, you can not find the information that you need on FB on cleaning a stain off a soap stone counter top that you dripped on there while in a forum you can probably find it there. Forums will always be around. Just look at all the old stuff Ron drags up. You can not have all this information concentrated in one place on FB unless it is a group and even that is iffy.

Thats why I have a Page Rank four Mike, we are also building a FB module of the first Kind , we have been hit but customer traffic is up.

PWI is Going full Force into Phase II of my mastermind plan to control the industry. LOL

We are not as hit as Other Sites, bit yes this time of year traffic always declines.

That photo Backs Pats thoughts , because that ones up.

My belief is it might actually make this busier in the future
