I would be interested to know that the "Soft-wash" specialist use to sucessfully clean Dryvit. My chemical's don't seem to do much at all. Must use pressure. He in Florida that stuff can get pretty dirty.

My experience is mainly as a roof cleaner.
But I have cleaned surfaces like this one chemically with my roof cleaning pumps.
One thing I have noticed is that those who doubt the cleaning capability of a dedicated chemical pump have never used a dedicated chemical pump.
Most have downstreamed, and that will not clean much w/o pressure.

The problem is that most chemical, HCL, soap , acid and other things can destroy the water based paint they use on these buildings.

Scott, believe me the drivit can handle some pressure. The sign will be ok also, we kind of talked about this at the round. The pressure thats actually at the end of a wand is way less 8 inches from the end.

Try something simple like a mild soap dwelling first. FOAM with out caustic.

going after this with something hot will just embed it into the paint further.

Several light treatments....

We applied light chems 3 times and washed it all with about 800psi.I wasn't worried about the signs since they are exposed to weather anyway. While cleaning dryvit isn't my favorite it make for great before/after pics because it cleans up fairly easy.
I will be doing this location and 1 other every six months for this owner. After seeing the building clean he was happy to increase cleaning frequency to keep the Corp big wigs happy on appearance issues.
In the process of picking up a lift, make a couple trips home to get the rig and lift back here at the end of the day I was able to stop and talk with 2 Corp fast food chains.I will be bidding 4 locations for 1 and 3 locations for the other later this week.In spite of all that I managed to squeeze in some tree trimming here at the house and cleaned a large smoker grill for a restaurant all before 7PM.Long day but profitable.

I cleaned a building with this material last fall using the same chemicals that normally clean a shingle roof spotless. I applied chemicals twice. Eventually had to get in close. I was shocked that the black didn't just disappear. Is is alright to use TSP on Dryvit??

Be careful, busting grease gets addictive! How long before you trade in that surface cleaner for a magnetic scraper?:)

I've seen the same thing on DryVit especially if there is some sort of ledge sticking out from the wall that dirt can accumulate on. Normal housewash removes most everything but sometimes you have to hit areas with some moderate pressure to get it clean.
