Hello all. I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I have been a carpenter and journeyman painter for 19 years. I have pressure washed many, many homes. Built decks and stained more. So when I got fed up with the constant problems with not so good help, I quit, took a vacation and started working last year for a local pressure washing company. I soon caught the FEVER.
I learned a lot from this company about the science of chemicals, methods, and applications that I had not a clue about before. This said, I am new in the biz, with a ton more to learn. I learn daily through books and forums like this; wouldn't mind taking a few classes.
I'm gearing up for spring with insurance and incorperation in place, marketing half in place. Since I will be doing most of the work myself in mostly the residential market (I like the flat work though) I opted for a cold water washer and a 6X12 covered hauler. I have a simpson belt drive cat pump 4gpm/3500 psi. Various portable hose reels and chemical tank. My plan is to put a diesel water heater in the side door with a removable duct out. I am currently looking for a cold water unit with 5 to 5.5 gpm, 18 plus HP. to round out the major purchases.
Enough of the long winded intros.

Welcome Mike!
You are at the right place.

welcome the guys here are great, are you going to do roofs?

Mario: Roofs

I think I'd rather stay on the ground as much as possible and stick to my specialties. That said, at this point I do not see me directly advertising in that niche. However, I do see myself up their based on customer requests, so I will take it as it comes. More knowledge to gain before I feel comfortable with the science of roof cleaning, and potential steep pitches.
