Landa (OK) I didnt mean to insult your machine.... Landa is a way better machine than ramteq... I have to clean a parking garage ( 3 stories) next week .. It is new construction and full of dust... I am thinking about buying a 5.5 gallon machine instead of the 4gpm whitco... Its hard to remove dirt with 4 gpm..

HIre a sweeper to come in first. It will make it a lot easier on you. Then go in and you can get it done pretty quick.

Ron, that was a little bitty garage.

Scott is right on about getting a sweeper company in there before you start. I have a guy that i sub that to, it makes life much easier.. The amount of dirt you will have to move is reduced greatly.

The sweeper was finishing as we started the stair cases. Yes it was four floors, two up and two down.

I would have called you back if it was bigger. I gave the two guys a bonus and they worked thru the day and got the two floors she wanted complete for the VP's. Go back next week to do the sub floors.

Scott, do you contract the sweepers normally? I do about 50%, I'm thinking i want to just include it because I have had crappy sweeping compnays make my job tougher.

What do the sweeper guys normally charge for 5 floors? Is it possible just to rent one and do it yourself? By the By are you guys using chemistry or just plain old hot water? It seems on the real dirty jobs you can get away with just a little degreaser.......

Sweeping companys will often charge bythe hour on things like this. The guy had a vac truck for this and i preffer brushes. Its took him 2 hours.

Typically the people that I am washing for sweep them for me. I did get royally screwed on one parking garage that they said they would sweep, but did not. We were hauling two 55 gallon drums of dirt and mud off of each floor as we were working. There were a ton of problems caused by that. We did get it done, but it took us weeks.

Matt,
What are you talking about? That was to speed up the service.

What does one use to clean a parking-garage or a large parking lot?
I was told by Adrian it was a "Swabbi," but I've tried many different variations on the spelling and I've found nothing. I've tried "riding surface cleaner" and not found anything. Anyone ever seen/used a riding surface cleaner? What are they called? Any sites I can visit that will show one?

I will find something

Guys if you don't have a Sweeping Company to clean before you or can't get one, Use a BACKPACK BLOWER to move all the dirt to one end and clean it up with a Broom, Trust me it will save you tons of time moving Mud Around. I Blow most of the places before washing and it makes the job look better to without as much mud run off.

Ron where are you finding a Broom Sweeper that fits into the parking garage? Is someone down there running one of these, my new one fits into them but it is vacuum and does a nice job if they know how to run it right.
