60,000 Valpak direct mailers

My client spent $650 mailing to 20,000 homes. I believe that he did ~$2,800 in business off his first mailing. He will be mailing again in August.

As with all other advertising, you need to do it a few times. Unless it's the phone book, then you should never do it!

I can't speak for the rest of the members on the board, but it seems like it either works or it doesn't..

What is the average return on ValPaks?

It's all a matter of what you consider expensive :) I think something that you don't see a return on is expensive.. Tampa has a FANTASTIC market for Valpak. Heck, the manufacturing plant is the town over from you!

Valpak does not play games. We give you a price, Tell you the exact 2 days that it will go out, and how many are going out... Then we give you a mailing receipt :)

There are some other companies like; money mailer, supercoups and clipper magazine. In some areas they work better than our product... I am not afraid to say that either.
I have never doubted how many pieces that ValPak actually mails. They are too big to play games. But some of the competitors to ValPak will flat ass LIE about how many pieces they mail out.

We had great results in ValPak, but we no longer have any need to advertise like that anymore. We are well established for roof cleaning here in the Tampa Florida area, after doing it for over 20 years.

If u do plan to advertise in ValPak, be sure and do it at least 3 times in a row.

I will be down in Tampa for our annual convention in a month. I am glad to hear that you had great success. When did you stop mailing? How long did you mail for?

OMG, We used ValPak well over 10 - 15 years ago, and stopped after 6 months because I did not want to add additional roof cleaning trucks. It was very very successful for us. The 6th mailing was better then the first one, just like our Rep said it would be. I bet the 7th and the 8th mailings would have been even better, had we stayed in, but we were unable to handle all the additional work that ValPak brought in.

Not to mention all the other Painters, Realtors, Tree Guys, and Roofers who also advertised in ValPak, saw us in there, and gave us work!

After 15 years, it has only improved. I am sure you have seen the new production facility down there..

We closed 6 out of the 9. Lisa did remind me of another lead we did get from the ValPak. A few years ago, we cleaned a roof in a condo community for a guy, he recognized us by the photo on the ValPak since we changed our business name. He called us to wash his condo and then, gave our info to the property management company who manages the 81 unit community. We are meeting with the BOD on the 26th of July to discuss cleaning the rest of the community. I guess that lead made the price worth it.
