Buggy?

Is PWI running slow for anybody else?
Lots of slow loads and white screens here.
 
When the new post screen comes up I now have to double click on it or when i post I have to double click for it to post or it takes forever. Just an extra click works for me but I didnt usually have to do this

I just figured it was Russ in the back room hitting the wrong buttons LOL
 
Ever since I started coming here it has been slow. I often get pages that take 1 or 2 minutes to load and then show up completely blank. When I hit reload, it loads up pretty quickly.

Sometimes when I see it's taking a long time for the server to respond, I'll click the link a second time and normally it re-connects to the server and loads quickly. I'm thinking either the internet connection is saturated or the web-server is misconfigured.
 
100% of the maintenance was done 3 days ago. Everything checked out okay.
I have not noticed any issues and my connection speed is about 12,500 kb/s

Same sort of problems her as well. I am on broadband and connect fairly good and it is only this board that does that.
 
Did it when I hit submit on my previous post. Sat there doing nothing and then went to all white. Reload and back to normal.
I am using Firefox.. What about you guys. Maybe its a new compatibility issue?
 
I use Firefox too--at home and at work--but I very much doubt that is the problem.

Especially when other functions of the site are buggy, like the get new posts function.

The get new posts function says it was last posted in an hour ago. Not true. Try 4 weeks. That happens quite a bit.

I have to click on a thread twice for the screen to go to that thread. I thought I was the only one.

Maybe it is another problem?
 
It's possible there are some bad routes between Texas and wherever PWI is hosted, but I doubt it. PWI reports it's running IIS. IIS and PHP (at least the older versions, which I'm sure PWI is running) don't play too well together. Moving the site to a LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL php) system should fix things if the issue is IIS-PHP related. Or, maybe IIS is not configured correctly. I don't know. I'm just taking random guesses. Perhaps nothing of what I just wrote is the problem.

It has been soo bad for awhile I almost dont like to post here anymore.
I told Ron, and have been trying to get hold of Russ.
He must be real busy :)
When I post, it takes forever to "go through".
I just post, and move on, then refresh my screen to see my post.
Only happens here.
PT State has logging on problems too.
TGS seems to be technically problem free, so far ....
 
Same thing here in Atlanta too, I use Firefox and I'm on a very high bandwidth connection during the day. I was going to take a stab and wonder if it's a vBulletin issue, however TGS runs it fine. Is it possibly the server load is too heavy? I don't know what kinda server PWI is hosted or co-hosted on.
