PWI has been a member since inception. I was wondering if I was able to keep my original member number. I have this on some promo items and was wondering if the new mang. had given this any thoughts?

As you can see i was member number 4 and my membership never lasped.

Ron - Certainly something to consider.

Also, this is a request, in part, from an email that I sent to Robert H. early this morning about the actual membership certificates itself.....we are on top of it

"Also Robert, Can someone from your office mail me the UAmCc membership certificates that is included in a members packet?"

.

RONtractor? Oh please.....Is this going to get any more cute? ;)

sound great!!!!!!!!!!

You guys should get more involved with Rontractor round tables.

I still like the sound of Ron Tables, Rontractors I keep picturing you on a big green John Deere plowing the Fields

I have asked Carlos and Ken to either make a small presentation, or at least a presence if they would like or nothing about the UAMCC and just come and have some fun and network

We were member #33...I wonder how high it went?

Ok. Stupid Question Time (SQT). You guys have been around this much longer than I have. I never really looked into joining the PWNA and I never heard of the UAMCC. I do know, according to posts made rather recently, that the PWNA is in a state of disarray and people are trying to "right the ship." I'm not really sure what went wrong. How does PWNA and UAMCC differ? Are they basically redundant, or am I missing something?

Surely I'm not the only one wondering, am I? Maybe I'm just the only one willing to look dumb and ask.

Adam, the goal is unification for the industry. I won't get into the back history of the PWNA as it is sordid and at this point, has been discussed ad nauseum. The UAMCC is going to be a 100% contractor driven organization. At this stage we are writing the business plan based upon what would benefit a company like yours, mine all of ours the most. I am not a pie-in-the-sky optimist. I know the PWNA started with the same set of goals and failed. The question I have heard raised again and again from past PWNA members (myself included) was "what did I get for my money". Maybe I needed to participate more..water under the bridge. It is the goal of the transition team (the UAMCC has been around for several years) to refocus the org so that when a contractor joins he will get immediate benefits. The UAMCC is going to have several agendas. One is to market an improved public perception. This will help everyone compete against the hacks that come and go and plague our industry. There is a poll over on the new UAMCC forum. Feel free to add any comments or concerns you may have. We are setting the blueprint for this thing now.
