Newbie in Illinois

Hello All. My name is Dave Robinson. I have recently finalized plans to retire at the end of the year and start up a residential house washing business next spring. My plan is to first educate myself through reading the forums daily and researching the archives, then, purchase the appropriate equipment for the market I have in mind. I am particularly interested in learning more about low pressure down streaming, what chemicals to use, and, how to set up a trailer mounted rig.

What part of Illinois are you from?

Extremely nice of you to offer to possibly get together in June to answer any questions I might have. I've got a ton of them right now and I'm certain I'll still have a bunch come June. I'd welcome the opportunity to get together with you.

Welcome and I gotta say I like your planning strategy:cool: I have learned a lot here..there is a lot of great people/great knowledge to be obtained here!

Thanks Thomas. Appreciate your response. Right now I'm trying to nail down exactly what equipment I'll need for downstreaming and how all the components are configured. I get a little confused if I actually need a pressure washer, or, just need a pump.

Well Dave I am within weeks of turning the key of my business..I am going for it!
I am learning all I can absorb about "soft washing". I think I will go with the pressure washer plus soft wash equipment..
I want the heat/power to be able to do concrete/commercial work as well.
I am in new territory myself as far as starting a business.
These forums are in my opinion "critical" to my success in so many ways...
