Anyone using inexpensive accounting software

$500? Do you undastand da wurds dat are comin outa my mouf? ITS FREE! The OP was going from pen and paper to some software, Im no MS fan but free and just as good as QB seems like an option. Hell the PRO version is only $140! Oh and thank you ron for not insinuating that Im a thief.

I thought micro soft was the same price everywhere. I'll need to get someone in GA to send me a copy.

Hey, i'm done with it. Bill gates never gave anything free except a trial Demo.

If you preffer using a boot version thats your choice.

I run a real business and have to use licenced software.

I preffer QB and it does more than the accounting express. I happen to own a copy , several copies of both. ( happy to post the receipts)

QB i own about 9 copies, they all network and its wonderful.

If you own all other micro product it can do all the features. (not by itself)

Vista is great!!!!! you guys need to get up to speed.

I love QB, try the micro stuff. It may be easier to use but if you spend the time learning QB it will save you dollars in the long haul.

OVER & OUT ON THIS ONE.... You can have the last word Roger.

I consider myself a fairly smart individual (big mistake ) and I think Quickbooks is very hard to learn if you have nobody that knows accounting teaching you. After 4 years I've figured it out pretty well, but I know there are tons more I could do with it if I was taught properly.

I posted a link somewhere on here, there’s a course and I believe them come to your area a bit to teach it.

I sent two office people last month and its been wonderful. ( i could lay one off they have streamed lined everything so much and put things on automation.

Plus i can view all this from my truck now and change in real time. I love it.

Micro is great also, easy but is more money and is harder when you start using all the functions.

I am using QB just the step above basic version. They can get pricy. Ron Musgraves email what you need software wise and I can see what I can do for you....

I have a General Pump 5.6 gpm at 3000 psi any takers?

Cleaning out the garage. Found my first pump from years ago. Been in cabnet all this time. I think it's a general 5.6 @ 3000. Any takers?

No training courses in Barstow. No one wants to train rattlesnakes, and varmints.

I use a software that costs 20 dollars from office max.... keeps track of ageing invoices and estimates.... does a little bit of everything... works for me

I have been searching for something simple on a Mac for a sole Proprietorship. I cam across this.

I have not used it yet but I think I will check it out.

I have used QB before. It is very powerful but I don't think I need all it can do for the business I am starting. This is complicated enough without learning QB features. For a sole proprietorship I think simple is better. Not that I want to stay small forever but don't want to jump in to deep either.
Just my 2¢

I use the Bernie Madoff quick books, so far I have paid no income taxes?

Hmmm, Inexpensive software to do the books. My wife does mine and she's kinda soft and small but not inexpensive. :)
