We have heard a transition team is in place. Who is the transition team?
shouldnt it reflect transition team members?

The site still reflects old BOD, months ago we heard this had changed.

I have been a member since exsistance..... number 4 as my membership.

just asking?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

most important is who are the transition team members for the new national Org.??????????? since i have paid my dues all along i feel I'm inttled to know. How many transition team member are current? or old members and believed in the org from the begining like i did?

Now if its a private org for profit, i undertand that you have the rights to keep it that private.

Also, who are the dist members involved? This is huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any manufactures?

Also, has any positions been given?

Its been awhile since the change and i believe the industry should know if your ready or still have not decided.

Keep in mind, I know a business plan was promised to be made public regardless.

Just a current member requesting and update.

Thanks for your help in advance.

It's busy season. Ask them next January.
Nothing major ever gets done in the height of busy season.

Busy???????? we are busy all year. real contrators work all year round. i thought this org was all year long?

Ok, will wait for the partimers that run it to be less busy to answer questions.

I will assume your a BOD. just because you stepped up.
Thanks Beth,

Guys Jan 2009... you just have wait......

Close the tread!!!!

Right...that's good Ron. You just took a whack and most of the guys on the east coast, who do residential. We are full time, but there is a slow season. MOST of us, recognize that. Arizona has nice weather all year. Let's bring you to the east coast in Jan and Feb to work and see what you say then. HA!

I'm not a BOD. Just have some experience working with BOD volunteers.
Beth

Beth, If you knew my history i started in South chicago, fulltime.

the guys at round now know they can be profitable all year long and dont have to be a seasonal or slow contrator doing homes.

My brother know who I am, they also know they can make money all year.

If you attend one of my table you may learn, In atlanta I educated a 11 year vet on somethings and he already has turned it to gold.

When you started in your business and called me when you were struggling you never listened.

How many times did i tell you and it came to light? You will probably not tell the truth on that one because you have to much pride and i just made it public.

And the thing about me with completing sentances, that was classic.

Busy or not if you are part of an organization theres a valid expectation that they should be responsive to members all year round

If its too much of a commitment they need a new board

.....so are the days of our lives (que the music)

There is a ton of stuff happening behind the scenes. Its actually very exciting. No real public updates as this is being done correctly, methodically and carefully to avoid mistakes that could arise from rushing forward. Every one of us has many hours involved in getting this up and running. Carlos will give you all an update shortly.

Your involved with this? I didnt realize, thats a good thing.

So is Beth your spokes women? She obviously knows your release date, Jan 2009

Has anyone volunteered to help you out? are you currently searching for members.

Will the BOD be paid or volunteer?

the Uamcc has been a for profit org. What stages of change are on the horizon?

Will there be a press realease, will the business plan be public? will the plan be locked in the by-laws? or will it changed with each president?

Hi Ron,

I am involved in what's called the transition team. The transition team's goal is to find out what you guys (the contractors) want in an industry org and to begin to establish relationships that will help the org grow into a contractor benefit driven entity. When the transition team has set a firm foundation and the business outline is firmly in place, the org will be handed over to a BOD that will be voted in by UAMCC members. I will be stepping down at that point as not to create any conflict of interest.

Interesting that you ask these questions Ron no more than having a conversation with me about 3 days ago in which I mentioned briefly to you on the phone some of the business items that we have been working on regarding the UAmCc.

Your specific questions that you ask here on the thread Ron will be answered when the UAmCc is ready to answer them. Being the 4th member to sign up since the UAmCc inception does not afford you a "sneak preview" or special priveldges.

Russ J and all the other distributors - thank you for your input and involvement on the distributors conference call for the UAmCc.

I would like to personally thank the contractors that have offered suggestions and input. Your views assisted with the development of the "initial draft" of the UAmCc business plan. As explained, the final draft will be in the hands of the contractor community.

And Ron as I told you on the phone and will repeat it here. The UAmCc will be making an announcement in the very, very near future.

Now you can close the thread Ron - thanks man!!
