Where is the cheapest insurance?

I have 1 1 and 1. 1000 dollar deductible, $884 per year. Doesnt cover overspray or if I wash with over 3500 psi. Ive never used it, and my customers dont even require it.

We carry One million Dollars in General Liability Insurance

One million in Personal Injury

Two Million General Aggregate

Two Million in Products Comprehensive / Op Aggregate

One Million Liability on all of Our Company Trucks

Two Million Excess Umbrella Liability and Two Million per occurance

Plus we carry One Million on each Prokleen Employee for Workers Compensation

oh and it is way way way more than 500 a year !

but my family is worth the expense since it is my livlihood we are dealing with , not that it matters to some but cheap aint always the way to go. Funny , people trash lowballers but look for lowballers to fill their needs in business.

Low balling and low work quality aren't necessarily one and the same. Low balling can be done by those who perform high quality work for less, and then make up for it in the volume of work they get by doing good work along with low rates, and therefore tend to be the go to guys in any given area. I think these are the companies we all seek out from time to time. But the term "low quality" speaks for itself.

I use Joe Walters insurance. Covers roof cleaning as well.

we use Joe Walters too but we use a different company for auto and workers comp.

As to what you said I agree with you 100 percent, we are able to do work sometimes as much as 3 to 5 cents less than a lot of contractors because of the level of labor and equipment we have. My point was its funny to see people looking for cheap and then some complain about people charging less than them in the same breath.

Cheap insurance was really not my point , I was actually saying why would you be lookingfor the cheapest and not the best? I mean come on this is what puts food on your table, I want to be insured by someone who can and will pay if I have a claim and not someone who will just sell me the cheapest product just so I can say I have insurance. Most contractors dont even realize that they are not covered for as much as they think with a basic million dollar policy on liability.

well its all a risk anyway u cut it. not in the big time (yet) so really the insurance is for my production cleaning work and is required by home builders. My deductible is 500$ at this stage its highly unlikely i will destroy something worth more than that. i guess i would file a claim if it were 1500$-2000$? you ever file a claim Russ.

What class does Joe have you covered under pressure washing or some other classification. I keep running into we are going to put you under a painters code. Its pretty confusing since I have only found once underwriter who has a pressure washing class.

No I have never filed a claim, I wouldnt file one unless it was large, say somewhere 10k and up minimum.

I cant imagine what kind of damage it we could cause that would be that much, if it is a liability claim it will be big anyway if some one were to get hurt on our jobsite and try to sue us.

As of today we are carrying similar coverage.Ours varies on the umbrella and WC.Our policy is $1mil umbrella and $500K on WC.
The new policy was due to a customer we worked for last year who changed their requirements. The bonus for us is the new coverage will open the door to bigger projects we have had to pass on in the past and will set us apart from all the local guys who are carrying a cookie cutter policy.
I also moved all of my insurance to 1 agent/company.So with the discounts from multi-policy coverage I will get my renters and term life for almost nothing.
It pays to have an agent who will work to get you the right coverage and still save you a few $$$.

We have basically the same insurance as Russ & with a A+++ rated company we pay $5500.00 a year Thats with 2 vehicles and 1 Big Rig!!

I just got the ok for a city job so I have to get the 1 million on vehicles, 1 million on general liability (I already have that) and the wc., found that too so I can bid on the larger jobs now.

I got a somewhat good helper, just need to move the other hot water skids so they can be used and things will be even better this year.

I will be taking 2 hot water rigs to the shop to get them looked at real good before moving them off the trailer to their new homes on the bucket truck and other trailer.

I forgot to mention that I did call the Joe Walers company and they wanted double what I am paying now for business insurance but will not cover the trailer because we are near the water so no coverage for the trailer.

I asked about 1 mil. for the vehicles and they told me that I have to have the business insurance with them before I could do the vehicles. I asked her to check what it would be and cheche told me that they would not even check unless I am ready to buy, Wow. O Well.

I found out that I will only have to pay another $200.00 every 6 months for the additional coverage for the vehicles from what I am paying now so that is not too bad at all.

I did give J.W. the benefit of the doubt and did give them a chance like I do every year but after today, I doubt I will even try again.
