I got permission to post this in writing as a learning tool on PWI.

I wanted to show you guys what a real live multi unit agreement looks like.

The main thing is that when you’re doing or begin to do business with folks if you ever use them in your advertisements even if it’s saying you do work you could be breaking the rules and terms of your agreement.

Its also not professional business to announce to other customers who your currently working for.

Reference list are different, one I hope you received permission to use the person.

Question, please feel free to ask

I use list of references often and I always get permission. Reference list is a great tool to use when going after new customers, many I would say most dont check references, but they know of the people or companies on my list. If they do check references thats great because all will give a great reference

Virtually all of our large customers have similar terms. It always makes me laugh when I see web site with logos of all these different customers they supposedly have. One dya they will get a cease and desist letter from We, Hangum & High.

Dito...

Many of them are posting logos for companies that they only service a small franchised ownership. If corporate were to find out, I am sure there would be trouble.

The cease and desist letter for the logo is one thing. The losing of a customer is another, and that can happen, too.

True Story, When good old Lance Winslow was running around creating all sorts of mayhem, trying to be the pressure washing king, he had a customer list on his website. I knew of three places where I was the only one that washed the vehicles, and was, and had been under contract with them for a very long time. I also knew of another contractor that had another customer, that he had serviced for over 20 years, yet there it was on good old Lances website as his customer. Drove me nuts. He got a cease and desist letter from all my customers, but, he didn't. I guess it is fair game to use anyone. Some of the customers he listed were both the Franchising entity, and then the local sorporate operator. Might as well pad the list.
