Tile Roof Cleaning In Tampa - STEEP ROOF

Apple Roof Cleaning

Roof Cleaning Instructor
I found these pictures of a Tile Roof Cleaning In Tampa :) we did some time ago.
This is my cousin from Naples, FL doing the cleaning.
I taught my cousin Tile Roof Cleaning here in Tampa.
He went back home to Naples, home of gigantic tile roofs.
This tile roof in Avila, just north of Tampa, was a cakewalk for him, just like it is for any of Apple Roof Cleaning's Tile Roof Cleaners, EXCEPT me.
At age 53, almost 54, My tired old roof cleaners body just don't do like I want to anymore :(
To a Florida Tile Roof Cleaner, tile roofs, even steep ones, are a way of life.
We are a full time roof cleaning company.
We own a 40 foot ladder, and other special roof cleaning apparatus.
We use these when we need them.
But mostly, we clean tile roofs the old fashioned way, we climb on them :)

As you can see, my cousin is small and LIGHT.
He does not break tiles.

Tampa Tile Roof Cleaning

More Non Pressure Tile Roof Cleaning :) pictures of the steep tile roof.
Oh, my cousin is shooting part of the step tile roof from the ground.
I ran the roof cleaning truck over our spray apparatus.
So, we "improvised"
Remember, we were in Avila, a very affluent community north of Tampa, FL.
It was getting late, and they have RULES in Avila.
There is what we call the "Thirteenth Commandment"
That is "Thou shalt NOT work past 6 pm in Avila"

It was 2.30, so we "enlisted" an old grass spray nozzle the customer had lying around!
My cousin is using it.
Shoots OK, not as good as our regular stuff, but sometimes necessity is the mother of invention.

Another reason we like to see roof cleaners use high GPM pumps.

It opens up a whole new world of spray possibilities.

My cousin used the shower head pattern to do most of this tile roof.

From this tile roof cleaning, we did 3 other customers in Avila.

Two customers were drive by who said they wanted their tile roof to look like that.

The other customer was a neighbor.

Unfortunately, the battery in the digital camera died, and I didn't get any good after pictures.

I'll second that no shirt pet peeve. And I'll add a NO MUSIC on jobs too! Chris what are you gonna do when you get old like me. I still walk the roofs if I can't shoot from the gutters. (Not often)

looks good Chris but if I were gonna critique anything it would be the employee not wearing a shirt. Just a pet peve of mine
Yeah Russ, I HEAR Ya :)
But, this is my cousin, LOL
He is from NAPLES, FL, actually he is from Golden Gate, east of Naples!
He grew up on the edge of the Everglades.
THIS is how they roll down there.
Air Boats, and no shirts.
He DID ask the customer if he minded if he removed his shirt, and the customer was cool with it.
3 other roof cleaning companys walked away from this steep tile roof.
2 were pressure washing companys, and one was a non pressure tile roof cleaning company.

I agree with YOU Russ, it looks unprofessional.
My full time guys wear uniformed shirts.

What your no longer wearing the size 32's?
:D
LOL, been a LONG time since size 32's David
Maybe in THIS piture, that is me, holding the broom on a volunteer roof cleaning job we did for a free clinic in Brandon, FL.

OLD like YOU ?
Man, I am gonna be 54

Music is a No No for me too, especially on a job.
I let go one of the BEST roof cleaning crews I had because I caught them DRINKING on a job!
FIRED, on the spot!
No room for ANY kind of drinking in roof cleaning business, especially on a steeep tile roof.

Got to love when other companies cant or wont do it. This is a testimonial from a recent customer. It was the maxi tiles here in houston.

"I would like to thank Confident Roof Cleaning for the outstanding job they did cleaning our roof. Scott and his crew were very efficient and professional. They are true masters at what they do and I would not trust my roof to any other operation. In fact, my husband and I had tried in vain for over four years to find professionals to clean our roof. After several attempts by other roof cleaners, Confident Roof Cleaning was the only company that was able to clean our roof successfully. I truly recommend them!" :)

You are welcome for the Palm Harbor lead Larry !
As you know, we have been SLAMMED the past 3 weeks.
That is what happens after 15 years in the roof cleaning business in one location :)

The day we did the volunteer cleaning for the brandon fl free health care clinic was on a Saturday!
They were closed.
AS you can see, I worked out back then, but needed some Sun.
I planned to go to the beach the next day :)
My Son got all the sun, he was the one on the roof.
I was "supervising" on the ground

You can't BUY advertising like that Scott.
Happy Customers send you new customers.
Didn't you tell me you will be doing MORE Maxi Tiles ?
I know you said you were gonna offer your expert tile roof cleaning services in Texas to the company who makes these roof tiles ?

Chris, when's the last time you where on a roof?

I don't know about Chris, but speaking for myself, it's been well over a year since I have personaly been on a Tile Roof. Shingle Roofs I've been on. This is why I have my helper. He's been with me going on 8yrs now and is the only one who goes up on both the Shingle and the Tile Roofs. Especially when it's a Tile Roof Cleaning. I do the ground work and keep the Roof Cleaning mix flowing.

Chris, when's the last time you where on a roof?
Good Lord, I think I did a shingle roof cleaning in tampa about a year ago ? The customer insisted on me. It has been years since I did a tile roof. My Son cleans all the tile roofs. He is young, athletic, and experienced. Once you are much over 40 years old, a fall from a roof can be the end of your cleaning career, and possibly your life! us old guys just do not heal as fast. In my day, I was as good a roof cleaner as it gets, and a hard worker too. 3 roofs a day was a bad day back then because we didn't have all the people into roof cleaning we do now. I once cleaned large subdivisions pretty much by myself.
