Florida Newbie

Hello guys, My name is Kevin Knoop and I am from Plant City Florida.I'm looking to take over my grandfathers pressure washing co. I have not started yet but have been doing side jobs from people calling him. He does not do this not longer due to his age so I think it would be great to take over. I was just laid off from my job and need an income. I have most of his equipment to start out but come here to get more info. I have read around a few post and see there will be a round table in Lakeland Fl in July. I think I may try to go to get some info and meet all you guys. I have also seen Apple Roof Cleaning around before I was going to get into it. Next time I will say hi and maybe get some info. So if guys have some info or input please let me hear it. Thanks in advice for the help.

Steven, Thanks for the advice bro. I will fill out my sig asap. Also I have been calling some of his old customers but most of them where older and not around. He was in the biz for 30+ years but he did it all his self. He stopped doing it about 3 to 4 years ago but I am going take it over. I don't think I will use his name because he was inc. So I would have to go thru a lawyer. I know some but have alot to learn. That is and has been the thing that stops me. I just don't want to fail. Need to do something bro. I'm getting married in Nov of this year. I was going to start slow and keep my job but got laid off. Thanks again and if you can help please let me know.

I am biker want be. Polk county and plant city has some great looking older homes make me wish I could have live back the days that they were built.

Well I have some questions on what I should do. Like I said before I am not working and want to start this asap. First thing I would like to know what a good key word to do a search on for starting out. I need to know where I should start out. I do have some experience in pressure washing but I dont feel I have what I need.So if somebody could tell me the best way to learn what I need to do to get started.

Next thing is do I need inc. at the start? Or can I wait till I make some cash? Sorry if it is a stupid thing to ask but I am a noob.

I was going to go down to Action Pressure on Monday to see if I can get some info and some demos. Like I said before my grandpa was in the biz for a long time so him and Bob went back. Bod and his son also know me. I was always with my grandpa so Bod has known me from when I was like 4 y/o
I hope that will help me get started.

Welcome Kevin I'm from the east coast you have a lot of good guys over there with lots of knowledge like Steven said ask questions and most of all do alot of reading just start reading posts and you should learn alot there are alot of people here and all are really helpful.
