How will a recession in the economy effect commercial work?

1. Business owners will spend more on cleaning up their property to compete more fiercely for customers.

2. Business owners will scale back on cleaning due to increased cost.

3. Little or no change will occur.
 
Starbucks closing stores, 17 churches chicken resturaunts just closed their doors around our way, Sam Seltzers Steak houses, 7 locations just filed chapter11 but are gonna try and stay open through it and apparently Applebee's is in a bit of trouble also. We also have a Jabil circuit facility located just down the road which is about to leave 3000 people looking for work. Raymond James also has a division right down the street that layed off over 800 people 3 months ago. Drove by a tire shop today that has been there for years (allied tire location) and they were all boarded up. Gonna be living in a ghost town pretty soon! :(
 
I have noticed over the years with some of our accounts that they will cut back on alot of things but pressure cleaning is not one of them.
 
Your lucky Nick. I used to do Durango's steak houses but most all of their locations have closed. The dealerships I do have either cancelled and gone to doing them in-house (One of the lot guys do them now.) or have cut me back on services. Started every month dropped to every other and now is at quarterly. :(

When fuel prices rise above $6 a gallon there will be no economy...There will be nobody spending money period..We will see this soon, and the scary part is no one seems to have a plan that can turn this around ASAP..You will get your recession soon enough.:(

they say the GDP has to be bad for 2 or 3 quarters for a recession. I think GDP means that everyone will be working for God Damn Peanuts after you pay for gas and everything else thats going up in price

Hell its not a recession, its a depression, I get depressed every time i look at a gas pump

I am hoping the economy turns with the election, who ever gets in
 
Im doing a few small cheap jobs just to pay the gas bill for the week...Don't ride around as much as I used to....
