Let me introduce myself. I am Jody P Garcia. I live north of Atlanta, Georgia in Cumming, Georgia. Up until 2006 I made my living in the construction industry (sales and part owner of a concrete foundation and flat work company). For the last two years I have been researching businesses that I can get into. Due to the financial burden form my last business I need a company I can start with a small cash investment. I plan on starting full time ASAP. I have a part time commitment that gives me a small income as I grow the business.

The area of the country I live in has been experiencing droughts for the last few years and consequently the home owners have severe restrictions on water usage. I have checked the restrictions in my county and as long as I have a business license I am good to go for a pressure wash business. I believe with my remaining contacts in the construction field and the number of affluent households in my area I can be successful in this business. I also have some contacts that are fleet owners and I may be able to pick up some weekend or after hours work.

I will be posting some questions in the appropriate areas.

Welcome JodyP:) Your in the right place to learn about this trade:cool:

Thanks for the welcome.

Good site Carlos, I hope to be involved in organizations like this as I progress in the business.

Presently in my area getting a business license allows you to use water. Even in a D3 / D4 drought the State and most local governments realized that some businesses livelihood depends on water usage. The Governors Office did request that any business that uses water make an effort to use at least 10% less during normal operations. In the old days of construction if you where licensed in one county or city you could work in other counties. I don’t think this will be the case especially concerning water usage. Also each local municipality can amend the rules so one needs to know what they permit before beginning work there.

Thanks Again
