TEST PICS LadderSaver Vs HoseBarb Vs 0030 nozzle

I recently bought a Ladder Saver downstream nozzle to compare with the 1/4" hosebarb and a 0030 washjet nozzle, here are the results in spicture that was taken on a tripod and gun was secured on fence post.
The first pic is the nozzles used, 2nd is LadderSaver, 3rd is 1/4 hose barb, 4th is 0030 washjet nozzle

Al we appreciate the testing you did. So your final results is what? From the looks of the pictures the Laddersaver & 0030 are about equal in pressure and distance, is this correct? Where do you get the Laddersaver from? Thanks Hugh

Good Job on the testing Al. I like it. Looks like the ladder saver and the 030 nozzle are very much about the same. Were those yor findings? The barbed does not seem to be able to compare to the other 2.

WOW! do we think alike or what Hugh. I guess you got to the submit button rt before me.LOL :)

If you want more distance from a hose barb, use a 3/16". I have found the 1/4" hose barb just draws chem better.

It out performed the 0030 ....BUT.....it is hard to justify the 48.00 price tag compared to 9.00 0030 nozzle or even the 1.50 hosebarb.I ordered the Laddersaver thru laddersaver.com

I like using a 2 ft aluminum wand with stainless steel couplers and the 0050 nozzle on my 8gpm for the ultimate reach. You don't even have to raise your arm to reach a three story peak. I use a 4 ft aluminum wand for really high peaks around 40ft.

Nozzle - $3.69
Aluminum wand - $5.71
Female Coupler - $3.35
2) Female Plugs - $4.10
TOTAL = $16.85

Of course, everyone knows that pressure AND Flow are required.
Too many understimate FLOW.
Flow is required to maintain the stream.
Thus, Al's findings will be more relevant for those with similar flow and presssure as his equipment.

Never fails, someone asks me what size nozzle we use, they use it, call me back to tell me I am full of crap, LOL
They FORGET we use 15 GPM pumps!

ALL of it enters into it, hose size, length, pressure, flow, etc.

It is just like racing, one must TUNE their set up for them.

Wanna have some FUN ?

I do not know what Al's set up is, but I am sure it is like many other pressure washing set ups.

The set ups that differ from his may have to make slight adjustments ?

You got it Chris. The 0030 nozzle works good for the 4-5.5gpm machines

The 0030 is too small/too much pressure for 8+gpm machines and would not draw chemical as well as the 0050.

The 1/4" barb would work better on 8+gpm machines. It's about the same orifice size as a 0060 nozzle.

Where is a good place to get an 0030 nozzle??

Thank You

Great information!!! I am a new owner and have been reading alot on this web site. This set up will help keep me off the ladders. Do you have any recommendations on where is the best place to buy these fittings? Not to many people locally.

Thanks Again to all the great information everyone has to offer.

Anyone Else using this? I have a Buddy cleaning roofs with it in IOWA
