Well I think the MB Rt is "established" at this point meaning it's got to happen every year and it's gonna be a big one due to location and interest to come to said location. Shouldn't let that fail for sure and keep the momentum going.
As far as labeling them with different "status" or size types I think would be a buzz killer to smaller events setting up "lack" of expectations which would lead to lack of interest. As the MB Rt "evolved" I'm sure Jeff will atest that it took on a life of it's own. I'm sure there were people who came just because it did turn into such an event. If you had labled it "just a 20 seat RT" Thats what you would have had at best.
IMO I would like to see vendors hosting them or co-hosting them with a local contractor, (at least large ones like MB) Bring a truck and trailor with product to demo pitch and sell. The more I think about it hell Jeff spent thousands of dollars out of his own pocket only to get nothing out of it other than to meet some folks which is all well and good. Vendors came and threw a few hundred dollars worth of minor freebies and got exposure to 80 companys with buisness oportunitys with each and every one. Not that that wasn't very much appriciated it was but heck who here wouldn't spend a few hundred dollars to get in a room with 75 people who HAD to order YOUR services EVERY DAY from somebody? I'm just sayin tell me that wasn't a hell of a deal for the vendors that showed up. With that said I'm glad they did because I appriciated meeting them but Jeff shouldn't have had to swallow THAT much by himself with companys there with agenda's to make contacts for profit. I'm sure there wasn't any ill motive on anyones part for sure but next year there should be more monitary vendor pertisapation for lunch or something.
Well I'll stop now I think I hijacked the thread..LOL...sorry. Just food for thought next year as it's being planed. Again KUDO"S Jeff and Ron and thank you.

One more quick idea on round tables..... Set up round tables for
Beginners - part time guys, newbies, residential
Intermediate - those transitioning from small time to big time
Expert- commercial, multiple rigs,

Just afew ideas but I m am sure we can adjust the catagories I listed above. But just to show some kind of example.

I am new to posting but have been reading for a long time. No offense but my son and I have been putsing around for 2 years trying to figure out what type of work we would want to concentrate on. We are going to the KY RT this weekend. I would not attend if it was all part-timers and newbies. Part of what we are hoping to get out of it is meeting experienced guys who have been there and done that and can give us help with things to avoid. As well as getting to meet some of the great people from the boards. Just a newbie/part-timer’s perspective.
