Composite Deck Hawaii

Cleaning with Aloha
How do you guys clean composite decks? They are made out of recycled material that seems to blow apart with any pressure at all.

Thanks,
Chris

Are we talking about Trex? If so I've never seen it blow apart before but using a regular house wash mix and brush does seem to be the best way. I've used my SC on a few of them that were real big and they came out fine. Just don't stop while cleaning. Does make me a bit nervous when I do it that way.

0 tip---- Turbo is for rinsing! :D
Folks Please do not try this at home. We are professionals.

pump up some half/half shc/h2o with a little soap, and rinse with a garden hose. make the soap work not you!

Chris,

There was a very informative diccussion on ptstate.com about composites recently. It is under the wood restoration category, titled Trex, so easy.

Thanks Bob, I will check that out.

I wash one at a restaurant thats 1200 sq ft. I use hot water and 1200 psi and it works great. Any more pressure than that and it does start furring. The first cleaning I had to use some deck clean but since then only hot water.

Here are some pics of the deck before and after. I used some dawn dishwashig liquid and a brush, let it sit for about 10 minutes then went over it with the surface cleaner. Came out Beautiful. This got me 7 more restaurants.
