Update from the UAMCC

I am compelled to share whats going on with the UAMCC today on the different industry related BBS's. In light of the UAMCC conducting it's first ever fundraiser it makes sense to bring those that have not visited the UAMCC BBS a snapshot of our progress.

The UAMCC Transition Team has been working steadily in several different committees.

Finance Committee
Membership Committee
Regional Committee
Vendor Committee
Website Committee

In conjunction with that we also added 3 additional members to the Transition Team.

Jeff L. ~ J.L. Pressure Washing
David V ~ A+plus
Rob H. ~ Aspen Contractors

These three individuals hit the deck running and the UAMCC has accomplished much since they have been brought onboard. We and the industry are very fortunate to not only have these three individuals but everyone that is on the transition team has been a critical component of what the UAMCC is today. I personally cannot say enough of the dedication level that each individual on the transition team has exhibited.

Much has happened since October and I will make this short and sweet!

The new temporary UAMCC website is live. If you haven't checked it out please feel free to take a tour www.uamcc.org Bios of the transition team members are there as well as the UAMCC Mission Statement. There are a few other "bells and whistles" there also but you will need to check it out to see. This site, as mentioned, is temporary until we finalize the mega site that we are building.

Kudos to Mr. Ken Fenner and a big Thank You goes out to him. He built the site single handed...Ken thank you for putting the hours that you put in so that the UAMCC could sustain it's #1 ranking from Google!! Thats right we are number #1 in many key word searches. Thanks again Ken!

Michale K heads up our video presence on YouTube and other sites all over the internet. Michaels efforts is also a main reason why the UAMCC has sustained a very high ranking in the search engine department!

As previously mentioned in other posts, the UAMCC will be holding a 50/50 fundraiser at the upcoming ACR RT in Allentown. I would like to say thank-you to both Tom and Barbara Vogel, the host and hostess of the RT, for allowing the UAMCC to have the 50/50. I big "pat on the back" goes out to Rob Huffman. Rob heads up the fundraising arm of the UAMCC. Rob and the finance committee were instrumental in getting the 50/50 at the ACR RT. Thanks guy.

Speaking of fundraisers, the UAMCC launched its first donation/contest within the industry on Novemeber 12th. Two UAMCC memberships will be awarded to contractors at the ACR RT next week. If you have not donated yet, please do so. Details about the contest can be found in the following thread:

http://www.uamcc.org/forum/showthrea...=1806#post1806

For those that have stepped up to plate and donated already ~ THANK YOU! For those that haven't please consider it and thank you in advance for contributing!

Transition Team members Jeff L., Scott S. and myself were in Phoenix AZ recently to attend yet another great Round Table by Ron M. and Scott S. It was a pleasure to meet new contractors and be able to speak on the direction of the UAMCC. I would also like to offer a thank you to Matt Johnson for the thorough First Aid traning that he did. Great Job!

The Membership committee is hard a work. The below benefits are just a few of the many that the UAMCC envisions rolling out in the very near future.

I must apologize to the contractor community for something that was brought to my attention recently. It is my understanding that contractors for the most part assumed that the below benefits were all the UAMCC was going to offer for the membership....NOT BY A LONG SHOT. The below benefits are just the beginning.

Some of the other benefits that the Membership Committee is steadily establishing will be added to the below benefits as part of the package. Unfortunately I cannot disclose some of the benefits that we are working on but should they materialize ....all I can say is that you as the contractor should be very impressed! That is all I can say right now on that subject. The below benefits are listed. Again these are the first of many more that the Membership Committee is working on:

Non-members will be actively recruited and encouraged to attend the regional round table for a hands on opportunity to understand the inter workings of the UAMCC. Topics of discussion will be decided on by the members of each particular region. For example, if one region is experiencing drought related issues then it would stand to reason a topic of discussion should include this particular subject.

There will be 1 RT per Region.

M. Natural Disaster Support and Education

As you can see, much is going on with the UAMCC. We are progressing and moving forward with establishing our presence within the industry. As the season comes to an end for some of our fellow contractors and the holiday season begins, we at the UAMCC will continue to stay the course that we set 10 months ago. If the reality of what the UAMCC is doing today and tomorrow has not registered with you just yet, please feel free to continue to ask questions. We would be more than willing to offer any assistance possible.

And for those that have given so much....Thank YOU. Your donation is duly noted!

Talk to you in a couple of weeks!
