Palm Harbor Tile Roof Cleaning

Had a Natural Gray Tile Roof to Clean today in Palm Harbor and had my old helper Peter give me a hand. Peter worked with me for about 4 yrs before venturing off on his own and into other areas. He was free today so I asked him if he felt like spraying down a roof for me. The pictures didn't all come out to good because of the lighting but it sure was nice to have someone else doing the spraying besides me. My wife does a real good job as a ground girl keeping things watered. Me? I got to do the Pool Enclosure and the Paverd Pool Deck. :D The Roof was just a little over 4000 sq and one good rain storm to wash off all the dead mold residue and it will be LT gray again. We did the Tile Roof next door to this one about 4 months ago and he was impressed with the way their Roof came out. Got to Love those referals.

Thanks Ron. The natural gray Concrete Tile Roofs that are real black always come out looking like an egg shell color until the next rain. The thing that customers like the most is that there is no damage from harsh high PSI Pressure Washing. Non Pressure is the best way to Clean a Roof. Safe, No damage and it lasts ALOT longer. :)

Nice job Pete....I mean Larry :D :D

nice work Larry!

Looks like you keep good people close to you. I wish my wife would come out and work with me also sometimes.

Wait a min, no I don't ;)

ALWAYS! I love having my wife work with me. She has been doing it since she was laid off in June and does a great job.(most of the time). I do fire her at least 3-4 times a day but always hire her back when we get home. I hate the couch...LOL :(

Sweet brotha!

My wife has come out and watered for me a few times, and in a pickle she would probably get on the roof!

The other day I was on my roof putting up the Christmas lights and she was on the ground getting them ready and going up a few steps on the ladder to hand them to me.

Heheh, the next day she said she doesn't know how I climb ladders everyday, her legs were nuked! she works out to boot!

Roof cleaners usually have a very good horsepower to weight ratio! We use muscles that you normally don't use. I have found a strong core makes the day MUCH easier.

Calf Muscles and ankles are all important to a roof cleaner.
Calf Muscles are a hard muscle to build.
It is almost a genetic thing, you either have them, or ya dont.
I have had horse shoe calf's my entire life, made even more defined by years of playing Hockey, and cleaning roofs.
MY problem is finding shoes that will hold up
The BEST roof cleaning shoes I ever owned were Boat Deck shoes from Payless Shoe Source.
They were closing them out for 6 dollars a pair!
I bought every size 9 to size 10 from Tampa to lakeland!
The size 10's were a little big, but I just wore extra socks.
MAN, did thos things ever grip!
Stunk to high heaven too :(
They stunk so bad, I was banned from several area restaurants ;)
Sweat, Love, and dead Algae make a foot oder even Dr Scolls cant cure.
Baking Soda just made it worse, with little hardened baking soda "stink balls" polluting the environment.
Here is a couple pic's of me, back in the day, chlorinated out.
My eyes were so red because of the shoes.
