that guy has sick power ... i always watch ryan kenn,,, and scott mendelson on you tube... there is alot of guys doing biggggggggg benching....man i thought i was doing good as a teenager benching 300 at 140 lbs .. these guys take it 2 a new level... i love it tho

Nice...

My workout partner is about 205 and will also push that about 25-30 times!
I'm 205 and maybe could get 10 on a good day?

We paused that weight for 5 last time we did chest.

Russ I know your a big boy, 275?? you can throw that 20-30x's???

Been sick 4x's in the last 2 months, basically I have not been sick a week or two out of the last two months:( :( :( :( :(

Training has suffered, bring on the Christmas HAM though, I plan on growing.

He is doing it bodybuilder-style w/ wide grip, no lock out to exercise his chest more.....watch some Ronnie COleman vids, he does the same thing. Tougher IMO that way.....less ability to use triceps and lats.

30 reps w/ 315 is STRONG......I bet he can 1rep something like 550. One of the guys I lift with can bench 500, and his best 315 is 16 or 18 I think. Of course, he never tries it and it way out of shape for high reps.....usually doing PR lifts and all.

I've never tried it that way.My father used to enter me in bench contests when I was a kid so I've always practiced proper form.Doing a quarter of the movement with your hands outside of the rings looks alot easier to me and does not count as a real bench press in my book. I guess I'll have to try it out.

It was a little hard to watch with those pink pants in the background distracting me!

the way that guy is benching his muscle is under constant load... that way is def harder than locking out .. if gives you more of a pump ..... anyone who can press that for 29-30xs is a beast..

I am out, Too old now to go heavy, I gave up heavy about a year ago I kept getting hurt. I have some serious old football injuries (5 knee surgeries) + back problems as well from waaaaay to heavy squats and dead lifts, I got hurt 4 times this year, I am soon to make my come back but it will just be for moderate weight and reps, heavy is gone. Now dont get me wrong I am talking abouy high reps on squats like 405 x 20 x 8 for example but the days of 600 - 700 are gone

Yes he is a Beast,He is way stronger than I will ever be.But If that is true I wonder how many times he could do it correct 35? 40? You would think he would go that route to really impress everyone.

yea i bet you are right dustin !! hey did you ever check out jay fry that guys is insane.. whats more impressive about him is that he weighs 180lbs and benches close to 800 it think (or something in the 700's) pound for pound the strongest bench presser power to weight ratio... check him out on you tube

my friends brother in laws brother benches 550 and he is about 200 lbs .. hes a freak of nature .. all natural . no creatine , protien nothing he just eats healthy.... thats all... i want to post the video they have of him in florida picking up a palm tree that fell... 4 of my friends together couldnt budge it .. i got to get him to send me the video its sick ....

Jup, my bro that I was talking about that I lift with hit 425 for two about two months ago (same guy that I said maybe could nail 20-30 reps)

My goal was 405 by Christmas, but with being sick and unreal busy I haven't been training worth a shiot. After Christmas it usually slows down for a few weeks and I'm usually done with the colds (this year has been hell with all the kids around) I will really apply myself. I've been eating like crap lately and feel like it, heck Sunday I had the big bite meal at Chillies with fries. Heartburn all night :(

I have been lifting since I was 18 religiously, reading and training trying to learn everything I can about putting on lean body mass. Everyone I have ever lifted with even when going light would never lock out any movement.

This would put the load on your joints. Any heavy lifter will tell you there joints are A #1 when it comes to form and protection. You NEVER lock out your movements, you keep them just outside the range of motion and like said, you keep them under load.

Wider grip = more chest, I place my grip where my ring finger is just outside the lines. I have short arms compared to this beast, that gives me a wide grip.

Props for doing squats after those injuries.
I have tendentious in both my arms/elbows and sometimes they hurt bad. Although I do have periods where I think the lifting makes them feel great.

Don't you love the feeling after you put out 110% at the gym on your way home?

Not about the weight IMO, about feeling good and knowing your growing stronger everyday. A guy I trained with that I respect a lot used to say lifting is a marathon not a sprint. I want to finish the race healthy!
