Pre Cleaning Before Washing Sidewalks and Parking Garages

Being a Sweeping Contractor and Pressure Washing and having done both for about 15 years now I wondered if any of you or How many of you have ever used a Back Pack Blower to Pre Clean before washing either a Parking Garage or Shopping Center sidewalk it is something that I have learned from do the Sweeping Part.

Like I said being in the sweeping business to I have learned a few things that have saved me time and sometimes a Big Mess. I mostly wash my own centers that we sweep but I do get others that the sweeping company does a real crap job on and let me tell you there is lots of dirt and worse on the sidewalks, I use a Back pack Blower to blow all the dirt from either the sidewalk or parking garage and clear it from where I'm about to wash. How it saves me time? I don't have to push or pick up a Wall of Mud and it does really help when using a Surface Cleaner and you get and rocks or bolts or anything like that out of your way. Now I know some like Ron and maybe a few down south don't have to mess with Ice Melt but the ones that do have to clean up after this will love not turning Calcium Chloride into Steam and Breathing it, yes I do get dust from it and wear a dust mask, but I deal with it every night now and it made me think about anyone else blowing it clean and when it comes time to wash. I for one do not like turning it into Steam and Sucking it into my Lungs, it will give you a sore throat fast or Worse.
