When Cleaning a Parking Garage ...

I try to keep it as neutral as possible at the end of the process. It makes disposal, etc. far easier.

When Cleaning a Parking Garage, what is the PH factor in your detergent?

Why do you choose this PH Factor?

Example 2 PH is acidic while 13 PH is more of a Alkaline/ caustic.

Just food for thought : a factor of 2 Ph is 10 time as acidic as 3 PH.

Check this scale out:

Why dont you just tell us what you use, and what works best for you. If you do that many garages then you know what works?

I have done them also , I have had no problems using a good degresser on the oil spots, and heat...

All chemicals have similar properties. This thread is about cleaning Parking Garages, not about the name of the degrease or acid. It is more important to understand why the PH factor is an issue when cleaning a Parking Garage. In my next thread, we may discuss one's reasoning as to why one would choose a high PH Factor or a low PH Factor when cleaning a Parking Garage.

sounds like it could be an interesting topic however no one seems to be posting in this. I have no clue why to choose a product I just know what works for me. I use caustic on most all spills and stains when a thorough cleaning is needed. I also use hot water with the thermostat turned all the way up

In a parking garage or any structural situation that contains reinforcing rebar you should not use an acid process whatsoever.. I'll let you tell everyone why Jim. I've said it enough lately around the forums. :)

There is a reason why we use certain chemicals over another for the environment that we are in and/ or cleaning.

This is a thread that can be VERY informative for everyone. So please, lets all put in our 2 cents on this thread. Lets learn from each other and tell why you think acid is not a good thing in some case's of cleaning a parking garage. Heck, you probably can write it better then me anyway. I do better explaining things on the phone then posting as a rule.

But I think you are on the same page as I.
