Hi All
You must be wondering what I have been up to.
So here is a brief update.
We have now come to terms with Delco of Fort Worth to restart our Phil Ackland Exhaust Training at their 5 day school. We had 6 there last week while I was down.
We are continuing as always with my dear friends Rory and Jim at DPW in Louisville as well.
So now those who want to get into the field have two schools to choose from and mulitple dates.
As you may know in November, we trained 5 State certified Instructors who are either Fire Investigators or Fire Inspectors at various levels.
These men will be offering Phil Ackland Fire Inspector seminars on a local level to AHJ's. They will be increasing the awareness of the importance of exhaust cleaners to fire safety and the values of Phil Ackland Certified Exhaust Cleaning Protocol.
Next week I will be back in Louisville to train another group of these instructors.
We are also putting together the finishing touches on having PWNA offer expand training (2 day seminars) at their convention.
We are up to something like 180 PAC cleaners. By the end of the year our goal is 300.
The NFPA 96 Proposal meeting was "interesting" I will write something up as soon as the final draft is issued. Let's just say that responsible exhaust cleaners won a big round and that some in the fire suppression industry would like to put you
all (except their internal cleaning companies) out of business. No big deal right
The fourth Edition of the Cleaning and Certification Manual looks real good (if I do say so myself). It is in color, more direct and user friendly. We reduced the size by offering much of the reference material on the web as a download. Buy a copy and help support a "staving author."
There are a number of other irons in the fire (you know me). All will get done eventually.
Keep an eye out for an interview Robert Hinderliter did with me last week. It is in post production and should be out in about a week. Let me know what you think.
