Am I the lowballer?

We use to post on craigslist but the breed of customer it brought was not very good. On the otherhand we did get some commercial stuff off of there.

I find that the direct door to door flyering gets the most response and referrals come in 2nd. Commercial cold calling is my #1 source of commercial jobs.

I'll bet it's not a typo. One guy did a roof in a neighborhood I did one in and charged $2,300. He did it with a lift, PW water broom and extensions too. Took 2 full days. I'll bet the gutters are full of roof granules.

Best thing that could happen to me. Made my prices look like I was giving it away.

I bet it wasnt either. I had a customer call one time and left a message, and i wrote his name and number down. i forgot to call him back for 5-6 days and when I did another company was cleaning his roof that day. I asked him how much they were charging and he said $1,300 for a 2400sqft house, which is about $.35/sqft. So there are customers willing to pay it, it is just hard to raise prices by that much in one go.
