Condo highrise

Jeff, Those are really nice Photos.

Sweet Job... Put those in your Powerpoint

I wonder how I can put them in without them getting blurry when they are inlarged

Maybe you should start doing highrises plenty in your area LOL Why do a highrise when you live in the concrete jungle

Thanks

Now that's impressive, how many days did you figure it would take?

I planned 10 days. We should be done in 7 or 8 full 8 hour days. We worked 33 hours last week and got 2 sides and ocean front. but the funky stuff begins Monday when we do the front

Its impressive, but the crazy ones are the window washers on highrises when they are working on a Bosums Chair. Just a peice of wood for a chair and ropes thats some cray stuff

Jeff, what warranty is that? We have tons of condos like that here on the beach and it looks like most of them never get washed.

This is a dryvit building and in the warranty for the dryvit product they quite often say it has to be washed once a year and I have seen it say twice a year. Its VERY RARELY done

Great info guys, Jeff the round table that you would be speaking at next, I would love to be there.

Thanks...The next one will be in March in NY and then maybe one more or so after that. No one wants to hear the same thing. I think the PM stuff from me will get old

Whats up Jason. hope all is good, that time of the year is coming up $$$$ Good luck in 2009

Holly cow Jeff,,,that looks just way to simple for my butt to get on that. Did you rent that thing and I can't believe you didn't have to have "the man" with a ton of certs in his pocket on sight to rig and run that thing to get past permits and insurance. Wow! You should get a big 4ft banner to strap off and around the railing (not drop hang off) with your name on it. Serves two things, 1) advertising as everyone, thousands at least, will look up at what your doing. 2) keep wind off guys some keeping them warmer. I just can't believe you could rig something like that up on one's own without a specilized company or guy and a ton of paperwork covering your osha stuff. Did the city require anything? Very interesting to say the least.

Nothing really extra required at all, except insurance, of course safety and osha standards are required. you see this all over the beach, you think thats crazy watch some highrise window cleaners. They work off bosums chair, a board under their butt and ropes and thats it. The long set up is actually pretty stable

Just curious Jeff, have you ever put a pressure testing gauge on the wand when you are up that high to see how much pressure you lose?

When I did the 87' Airport Radar Tower I had good pressure but did not have a gauge to see what kind of loss I had.

If you have one of those gauges, could you check when you are up and let us know please? The height, size hose, psi and gpm of the machine and how much hose used. If not that is cool.

Thanks.

Whats a pressure gauge?? LOL LOL

Actually Chris we reduced the pressure quite a bit, it was Dryvit building and required much lower pressures

I have been that high with 200- 300 ft of pressure line and really never felt much pressure loss at all

LOL LOL , Did plenty of this kind of work for years. I repelled down a 350 ft smoke stack was the highest. But you are right, on this job and any future jobs, I won't be getting on any rigs. I'm just getting to old

Here's a couple pictures of a job we did about 4 years ago at the beach right down the street from the other job we just did. YUP thats me in both pictures, guess I couldnt find any crazy rednecks that dayLOL This crazy Yankee had to do it himself. Its actually kind of fun, or use to be
