How about this.... What is the difference between Pressure Washing and Power Washing?

This should bring up some good conversations.....

There is a difference between the words in the dictionary

Pressure: Pressure is defined as force per unit area. It is usually more convenient to use pressure rather than force to describe the influences upon fluid behavior. The amount of force applied upon an object. Pressure is a derived unit that combines force to area and mass per unit.

Power: The rate of doing work within a specified period of time.

Definition: Power is the time rate at which work is done. In calculus terms, power is the derivative of work with respect to time.

A common physics lab involves quickly climbing a flight of stairs and using mass, height and time information to determine a student's personal power.

Pressure would be under the students feet as he climbs the stairs.

So which one do you use?

Those are the definitions between Pressure and Power. Washing is the constant so the real difference is the terms between Power and Pressure.

Let the Comments Fly !!!!!! Lets keep it clean and professional

For example:

I consider pressure washing as cleaning inch by inch with extreme force.

Power washing would be cleaning a roof. You do not use 5,000 PSI on a roof, thus you power wash the area in sections not inches under extreme pressure. You wouldn't say under extreme power... Would you? I don't believe that " Under extreme power" VS " Under extreme pressure" would be correct grammar.

I think the word "pressure" scares some people off. I actually had one couple a year ago NOT choose me because I mentioned "Pressure Washing", they were concerned about "pressure". That's what I also thought when I chose the name "Pressure-X Power Washing". A good combination of both.

Here is a good analigy....

If the above is a true definition of Power VS Pressure, what do you think of this....

We were rinsing a garage we did. Now this rinse is with 80 to 100 PSi @ 80 GPM's. High volume low pressure. We were able to wash down all the soap residue and dust etc. If we used a Pressure washer, we would of taken 2 days, However with the fire Hose, it took a couple of Hours.

The Power is from the washing with high volume and NOT the pressure which worked well in this case.

If you reverse them, Less volume more pressure in this case, would not be a good use of time.

In regards to pressure, I use the term "inch by inch".

David,

I Have NEVER advertised in 20 years. No Flyer's, No Penny Saver Ads, No phone book, no coupons.

I deal with industrial and commercial. However the Commercial, needs to be large enough for my interest.

For years I was the only legally permitted parking garage cleaning company in California. Now that the word is out, I have some 8 or so competitors here in California. 4 of which has gone bankrupt last month.

I have seen parking garage companies come, stay for a few years, then move or go out of business.

Just 6 years ago, I started to have a website. The name was www.crystalcleaningco.com. It was WAAAAAY to long. So we came up with:

www.GarageCleaning.Net and never looked back. We are now and have been the most experienced Parking Garage Cleaning Company in California. As you already know, we are pressure washing with extreme high heat. something that was not mentioned of before we announced the benefits of Extreme High Heat with 6 or more GPM's.
