I guess I am just stubborn. Been reading posts about downstreaming for two years but never tried it on a house or building. I had some time today so I did a test on a nasty tree house. Pictures one and two starting on the left are before and afters downstreaming on a 50/50 mix of 12% SH and water along with some Dawn. Had 150' of hose on and used about 1/2 gallon of chem.

The other two pictures are a different side before and after with an x-jet. Used a 50/50 mix of 12% SH and water with some Power House in there too. Used about the same amount of chemical.

I would never have thought downstreaming would put enough chemical on there to clean something that bad. I will definitely need to try this out on some houses.

The siding on there is vinyl.

You don't need 12% in x jet for houses. Over the counter Clorox,,DS I'd say yes. I've x jetted several houses that bad and never use 12% in vinyl theres no need. I do normally put in a couple ounces of F13 gutter stuff in a 5er for x jettin stuff like that. BUT be careful no F13 around finished wood. (lernt that the hard way...Doh!)
 
I'd also suggest you do a test to figure out exactly what ratio your injector is mixing at. I had one on a machine that was 24-1. I switched to one on a hose reel and it mixes at about 8-1. Made a huge difference.
 
What do you mean tree house? He's from Ga, what he's not saying is it's really a deer stand....lol,,he just has to refer to it as a tree house because thats what he told the wife he needed the money for....for the kids,,ya know. LOL

It really is a tree house. It was already on the property when we bought the house. Now my son would go up there and blast a few deer but the dogs keep them out of the yard. With the economy the way it is I may I have to rent out my house and move in there.
 
Doug you know a riot is going to break out on one of these sites right. LOL
juuuuust kidding.

Now if someone would just design a downjet or an xstreamer or a streamjetter or a downxer there would be no more debates.
 
when cleaning most vinyl I mix my chlorine about 60/40 with water and a little soap and downstream and it works great.

Thats what I find myself doing more often. Usually becuase the jobs I get are pretty bad. So I wont use hardly any water at all.
