Coil And Filter Class Attendees Please Look

Tony Shelton

BS Detector, Esquire
I'm trying to coordinate the transportation and get a fixed schedule.

If you are going to attend the coil cleaning and air filter service class please email me here

tonyshelton@cox.net

And let me know:

1. Exactly when you will arrive, both the day and the time.

2. If you will have a car.

I will arrange the schedule around everyone I hear from in the next 24 hours.

If I don't hear from you, you'll just have to call and find transportation to where we are. We will probably be going to at least 5 different locations per day.

I will add more info in this thread over the next couple of days.

WHAT TO BRING

A HAT - it will be in the low 80's but the sun is a bear on a roof.

Bring your own Ibuprofen if you stay out too late the night before.

If you are afraid of heights bring a change of shorts.

Wear clothes you can get really dirty in.

If your phone doesn't have a calculator you might want to bring one.

If you have a cordless impact driver or cordless drill or electric screwdriver you might want to bring it (with a 5/16 nutdriver bit)
Hand tools, pens, pads, etc will be provided.

We will provide sunblock. You will need it, we got sunburned last Sunday. (It was either sunburn or we just realized we really are rednecks)

Naw. You'll look pretty good dressed like that, but I wouldn't say too hot. Black is a popular color down at the Ramrod Bar this year. :D

And if you go to the Ramrod, their motto is "bring a big impact, or stay home" (pulling out your needle nose pliers as you're going to the men's room at the Ramrod does NOT make a good first impression.

Only 2 spots left

I only have 2 spots left on Friday. The car dealership where we are going limits us to 12 people on the roof. That's not an insurance thing, they just asked us to respect their wishes and they are donating two vans for the week so I'm going to respect their wishes.

So, if you plan on coming you should email me and let me know.

Monday and Tuesday are a little more open, so if you come to the RT and decide to stay a little late for the coil and filter class it shoudn't be a problem.

Everything's falling into place and you guys are going to go home wondering:

"Why haven't I been doing this for years?"

This is where we will spend a lot time on Friday.

If you learn a lot you may get accounts like this:

This is going to be fun!

KEC guys, please refrain climbing down the ductwork. These ducts go to offices and retail stores. It's embarrassing. :p

On the roof of the Car dealership it looks like one of those train-type units that you walk inside, is that correct?

On the mall, that is a lot of ac units begging for the cleaning. hahahaha

This dealership is one of the hardest to bid. It has some of the smallest units you are likely to service and one of the largest and everything in between.

This is NOT one of my filter customers. We have cleaned their coils though.

At this location it will be just like any other bid you would come upon with a COMPETITOR's filters installed.

We are going to have a CONTEST. I'm going to give a base price to work with and we're going to see who, at the end of the training day, can bid this building correctly and size the replacement filters in the most economical way.

I still haven't decided what the prize for the winner will be.

We have multiple contracts in this complex so when we are done we will look at some of the other dealerships with our filters installed and will clean some filters.

This training will take you on the fastrack of my experience. What cost me multiple thousands of dollars and over 5 years will be compressed into a day or two.

We will start at the filter mfg which was be beginning of my research.

Once I got a supplier, I moved on to bidding buildings with my competitor's filters installed.

Then, through trial and error I figured out the most cost effective cleaning process.

That's the course the training will take so you guys can understand the concept and put it in into practice with full confidence.

I'm excited. This is the first time I've done this.

Before PWI I was nervous about sharing this information. PWI has shown me that life is too short and I don't have time to worry about competition. I just need to do the best job I can with what I do and part of that job is helping other people who have the same needs at home and families to support that I do.

Tony, thats awesome. I especially like that you used your head and tried and found a better, faster way to do your job. In any field I think bringing something better, faster and unique, whether equipment, tools or technique is what it's all about. Sharing that knowledge is truly generous.
