Surface cleaner swivel leaking

I thought that Dueblin swivels were the best of the best of swivels.
IF so why replace with a generic??

I took the dueblin out of the steel eagle after I backed the trailer over it.I've been to lazy to get everything I need too put it back together.I may sell it,but I haven't had time to even get pics of all of the parts.
I should just sell the union and order a mosmatic to pop in it.

Nice Video Nigel :wink2:

Thank You Terry, you dont have the BE problem, you run the Big Guy, correct

LOL....pic or video......hahahahahaha.

Nigel we all aren't as talented as you are.I would say the WW and Dueblin swivels(rotary unions) are pretty close quality wise IMO.I have a dueblin swivel our of a steel eagle laying around here some where.........hmmmm where the heck is that thing

I was a "VV"..................Virgin Videographer too on that one, heck i did not even have a you tube account before that, and I still dont know how to embed videos on here (Sorry Tony I know you told me at least once).

Anyway some photos would be nice if you could muster it, all I have ever seen is BE swivels.

I have contacted BE 2 days ago no response, And Whisper Wash today, I invited them to join the bbs, or at least email a drawing of their swivel. We will see what happens.

The WW union has already be reassembled.I'll look around the shop tomorrow ans ee if I can find the dueblin I know it's out there in the junk somewhere.

Scott, remember I get first dibbs on the swivel and/or whole thing. hahahaha

Hey guys here is a video I just made of the internals of a failed BE High Speed Swivel.

Tony or anyone I dont know how to embed it sorry.

Guys post some other types if possible. I would like to see why the others are better.</EMBED>

Manufacturers seem to be protective of their designs, especially the one that work well.

I emailed BE via their website product feedback link, no response

Email whisper wash too but no response, I called them spoke with Barry, they would not give assembly drawings of their designs. I guess you have to buy one and see what makes it better.

Spoke with JD of Powerwash industries about their no "o" ring design swivel, but they only buy it and assemble them to surface cleaners

Found these no "o" ring design swivel surface cleaners a few moments ago

And Steel eagle's no "o" ring swivel,

Thanks Tony I got the hang of it on the Aug 20th with another video.

I had to wrap in HTML tags around the embed line from youtube, preview it and then erase the HTML tags. (the video also had to have permission to be embedded by the youtube uploader, or else it still would not work, permission to embed is the default setting of uploaded videos)

Nigel, on the Whisper Wash seal kit they have a diagram of how to take the swivel apart if that helps.

I rebuilt the swivel myself 1 time then had a vendor rebuild them for me, like about every 3 months I had a swivel rebuilt but then I had a company out in Florida rebuild one for me and while there for my first Tampa event I got to rebuild one there myself so then I saw the difference he made on doing the job and the better way and parts he did it. Those swivels are still running great today, about 3 or 4 years later and still running strong.

They are not making the old style swivels anymore and focusing on the cartridge type so you just change out the cartridge out in the field in less than 10 minutes, they even have a youtube video showing how to change out the cartridge, it is really easy to do.

They will keep selling parts for the old swivels as there are lots of them out there. With my old style swivels, I will send them to the shop in florida to rebuild for me as they last years with them doing the rebuilding for me.
