When Gum is a factor in Parking Garage Cleaning

Hey guys, just back from a Parking Garage Cleaning here in Northern California. The Crystal Cleaning Company LLC was hired for cleaning of this parking facility due to the oily issues of the garage and the monitoring of the garage from different agencies, particularly the EPA. This was clearly a garage suited to our line of work and expertise.

As an option, they asked us to clean the gum up as well. We do not usually clean gum due to the gum clogging the filter and the extreme costs of removing the gum from the filter elements as I am sure that most of you know. However they paid well and we took it upon ourselves to comply.

Here are a few of the photos....

Due to this elements of oil, lime, gum etc, we had to cover each car from the floor below....

Here are a few photos of the cars we had to cover..... Some of them belong to professional football, cheer leaders, hockey and baseball players. Each stall is rented out from $1,000 to $3,000 a month from what I am told. However the floors above, the parking is free. I should of asked for more money !!!

It is important when covering a car that you DO NOT SLIDE THE vis-queen over the car.... you drape it over with two or more guys on each end of the vehicle. Otherwise you risk scratching the car.

This was a good thing we did because the floor above, even though was freshly patched and sealed, leaked onto the cars from the cleaning above.

This $473 dollars spent on 3 mil vis-queen saved us money, headaches and our reputation.

I would not have allowed you to do that to my ride....NO way

Dang, there you go posting pictures of my Bentley all over the net. I am awaiting shipment on it as we speak.

And I complain when I pull up to Clean a Driveway and they left their car in it.... I always make them move it.

The reason why I explain this on this form is to help others make some great money. As some of you know, my wife wants me to slow down and work no more than 18 days a year. I have a hard time with this since I would like to retire in 11 years when my son turns 18 and all of our property is paid in full.

Some here have a very good means of retiring on or many years before 65. They are the ones who ask questions, look for niches in their field, create new fields and or improve their work enviorment... others will put down anyone who dose better than them or any niche saying it will never work and be working till the cows come home.

I think you need more Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, more Heeeeeeeeeeeeeet. hahahahahahaha just kidding jim.

There are always more opportunities for new niche markets to open, you just have to be able to sell them (one of my major weaknesses is selling skills but I am learning).

Look around you and see what is dirty, chances are someone might want it cleaned but do not know how or have the right equipment.

Or you could roll it on.....you could practice on a banana!:p

I'm just glad you were using protection, Jim.:D

Oops, I'm sorry, I misread the post topic, it says "when GUM is a factor"...sorry. Carry on.:(

I had a 1970 XKE like that one on the middle, but it was a coupe and it was YELLOW! The value jumped up from $6k to $22k in two years. That was many years ago, I don't know what it would be worth now.

You forgot to include pictures of the cheerleaders Jim.

Give me a H, give me a E, give me a A, give me a T..... What do you got ????

HEAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good job Jim. I'd love to work 18 days a year, I'm lucky to take 18 days a year off and on vacation !
