X-Jet options

Check out this! Now this is mobility. I have at least 10 jugs from karcher all the same so I cut a hole in one of the lid to fit snug on the xjet hose and the jugs all have handles. the jugs are old truckwashing soaps. This way you have no fatigue. Oh and they have gallon markers on the jugs as well and also drilled a little hole in the little screw on cap place to let air in so it doesn't suck the jug in.. Just food for thought sorry just an idea not trying to hurt your sales just letting ppl know other options that are really cheap..

OK! Where did the video go?

IMHO...the back pack sprayer is a bad idea for the xjet set up.To many variables that can lead to a contractor seriously injured by have caustics,SHC or acids on their backs.
Leaks at fittings or the fill lid,as well as,chem drips from filling can cause serious burns.
What if you trip with 3 gallons of caustic strapped to your back?Take this from someone who uses lots of the stuff a very small amount burns and scars.3 gallons would likely send you into shock before you could reach your rig to neutralize with vinegar or coke(yes the citric acid in coke will neutralize caustic). If by some chance you survive you will spend God knows how long recovering from 2nd and 3rd degree chemicals.
The square car boys and 5 gallon buckets aren't the end all beat all,but at least they aren't strapped to your back.
JD no disrespect meant here this is just how I personally feel.

yes you can, but...

I ditched the x-jet years ago. Why the heck carry any chemical off the truck?? You can accomplish the same effect with the proper DS injector.

you are right mike but there are still plenty of uses for the xjet/m5. i basically keep mine around in case my ds injector fails. last week my roof cleaning pump failed me so i used my m5 to clean the roof. if i need a stronger mix on a house or driveway it is also a great tool to have around. now concerning the container you pictured above cdupont...go to walmart. go to the camping section and you will see a blue 7 gallon water container that the cap has already been tapped for 3/4" threads. you can put a hose barb on each side of the cap and put a small hose on the inside and your supply hose on the outside. there is also a vent plug already in place. some guys have hard piped the inside but you can do whatever works for you. i think they cost around 12 bucks or so.

good luck,

rando

I use xjet for mostly everything. My 5 gal container is attached to a two-wheeled truck that I move around a house with me. Xjet is attached to it via 10 feet of flex hose. 5 gal container holds the chlorine/detergent solution. Using it simplifies my opperation.

See when you down stream you have to turn your dual lance knob and lower pressure. Well how do you wash the bottom of house without throwing dirt or mulch everywhere. Xjet saves me tons of time and money. Plus I control my dilutions. I tried DS and it didn't work for me. But like I said before if there is 100 guys there is 100 different ways to wash right? I'm open minded but I can't figure out how you guys rinse with low press when you're downstreamin.

Personally I hate the x-jet!

I have a nozzel I carry, it has 4 tips welded together (jrod) it has a 0030 (shooter tip - shoots chems 30 feet or so) it has a 1530 for a narrow fan spray of chems, a 2506 and a 4006 for rinsing

We use the same thing as Russ, J-Rod. I've never used an X-Jet but I've carried a lot of buckets and don't like it. I've read it mixes stronger but I think the plants would be at risk. So far DS has always been strong enough. Once in a while on a big 2 story gable and a walk out basement we need a short ladder but that's probably shooting close to 40'.

My M-5 is about 2yrs old and still in the box. DS is all Ive really needed down here. Cleaned a 40' building DSing with an extension wand and the right tips. but to each his own.

I also use the J-Rod 4-way nozzle holder and I have the 0040, 1540, 2540 and 4040.

I do things different than some, I downstream with these nozzles and then I remove the hose from the chemical bucket and put it into a bucket of water to rinse the injector but use those same nozzles to rinse so I am rinsing easy and not blasting plants, windchimes, mulch, etc.... all over the place.

Soon I will have the remote control rigged up so I can just push a button and switch from chems to no chems an save a lot of walking and a lot of time.

I love my M-5 Xjet
I love PWing
I Love my managers
I love

I do use 12.5 and haven't killed plants but that may be why DS works for me. I pull at about 9-1. The only way I know of you can rinse with low pressure while DS is pull the hose like Chris said. Which kind of defeats the purpose if you are a one man show. The 4 way nozzle is used to rinse at high (but not too high) pressure so it won't pull chems. On big houses with 2 guys we will use low pressure to spray the plants while the other guy hooks up the supply hose and mixes soap etc then he drops the hose in the bucket. We have 2 washers so one will get a head start to DS soap and dwell. Then #2 fires up to rinse with any pressure we need since the DS isn't running on #2.

Whatever works for you go for it. Jeff (AKA The King) does big condos so the X-Jet must reach those spots I can't hit with my DS. Every tool has it's purpose and some guys improve upon them all the time. I'm a lazy guy so I'm always open for change.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

I juust like my Xjet because I can pump some chemical out of that badboy and get er done quick. We reduced it all down to 1/4 inch barbs and hose and this way a 5er or 15 gallon drum lasts

I don't understand how anyone kills plants. I mean we do a ton of buildings with a TON of landscape, shrubs, trees, plants, flowers all over the place. I think I have gotten MAYBE 4 complaints in 4+years. Three of those complaints were all in one day, three houses in a row, just planted some delicate annuals and MY worker wet them down to much on a 98 degree day. Pretty sure it was just the water and heat that made them wilt. The past 3+ year I havent got one complaint

you prewet plants and quick rinse and never have a problem with our 12% mix and at times we put it on strong on real moldy buildings

LOVE MY XJET

I will be DS'ing a job in the next few months:eek:
