My new trailer build

nice rig I am right to put a new one together

Jim - great first outing, thats an impressive amount of concrete. You had a vision, made a plan, put it into action and now you're workin it, congrats again. I'm sure you'll get everything dialed in just right for you - don't be afraid to try stuff out and keep thinking of ways to make it better. You thought about more bars on the twisters....

nice setup. From the pics it looks like the diesel tanks would be hard to fill?

I like the Hydro Twisters. The ability to moved side to side and back and forth rocks. Still need to figure out how to lock the handles in a position that is comfortable for the operator. Holding that handle up and all the extra muscles I used last night really has my old back hurting today.

Feet sure get wet with the Hydro Twisters. Got duck feet, even with my shorty Muck boots. I need to fab a solution to keep the soaking down to a minimum.

Bigtime production last night, approximately 75,000 sq ft in 10 hours, and 1 machine was down for almost an hour (ball valve and coupler repair).

Wow, almost finished the job in one night. great work. Looking forward to video soon.

Nice clean set-up, good luck with it Jim!!

Jim, looks like I'm late to the party but I just watched the picture slide on photobucket. That setup is gorgeous man! Congrats, I'm sure it catches some looks.

Does a water broom work well for rinsing?

The water broom is the S*&T. The Hydro spinners with the rear wheel in the unlocked position go side to side, front & back, making chasing the rinse quick and easy.

let me re qualify the term "easy". That side to side action works muscles I haven't used since my motocross days. I was a sore SOB after my first weekend out. That being said, the water broom is a great feature, especially at 9 GPM. But imagine that 9 GPM force in front of you, for hours on end. Good news is it goes backwards like a Ferrari !!! :sarcastic:

I have been looking at the Hydro Twister... it looks like a money making machine !!

This website's video states that your feet stay dry... http://www.hydroteksystems.com/accessories.htm is something malfunctioning on your Hydro Twister ?

I agree with Jim and Steven your feet do get wet! You can see in the video when it says feet stay dry! His feet are getting soaked!
It does rinse surprisingly well!
I thought I has a better pic of rinsing guess thats all I had...

They recently redesigned the Hydro Twister, more or less aerodynamically, for lack of a better way to describe it. The front of the machine measures 5/8" from ground to bottom lip of the skirting, the rear of the machine is almost 1/8" from ground to bottom of the skirting. Definitely reduces the amount of over spray back towards the operator, but the major downside is the new design bottoms out at the rear going up or down a handicap ramp, or similar uneven surfaces. Have yet to clip a nozzle tip yet (and I do mean yet).

I've spent probably an hour on the phone with Hydro Tek technical support. They've been very open minded and appreciative of my feedback.

Did one of my monthly drive thru contracts the other night, 50% pavers. Didn't even attempt doing it with the Hydro Twister, broke out the Steel Eagle.

I just picked up a Hydro Twister today....Ordered the SCU 8.7 3500 yesterday......

Good talking with you the other day Lou, so I guess you got the unit congrats.

Jim the steel eagle spins crazy fast ( saw your u-tube), what is your hydro twister model # ? , I think they have one with a cardide swivel and one with a dueblin.

Which spins faster your Hydro or the eagle

I have the ANT3C http://www.hydroteksystems.com/teksheet/Hydro-Twisters/hydro-twister-ant3c-contractor.pdf

Upwards of 2000 RPM, same for the Steel Eagle, at least that's what the spec's state. My Steel Eagle (with the Dueblin) has 3 arms, and with the 8.8 GPM machine, the Steel Eagle smokes !!

your u-tube says it all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RSgRulzrvA ,

now i think i feel sorry i bought a mosmatic. we will see.

do you use 3.0 tips in the eagle. You knew the Hydros came with a deublin spinner as an option, according to the search I did there is an ANT3D.

Jim, I agree, We had the Steal Eagle and for a NON motorized surface cleaner, we find the steel eagle is a great surface cleaner. We did a comparison with the hydroteck.... the model below yours. We tested it at 4,000 psi with 200 degrees at 6 GPM. The hydro tek did good, but you had to move slower... allot slower than the Steel Eagle.

I am impressed by the Steel Eagle and the cheapest place I found them is at http://www.envirospecnorth.com ....
