Here are some pics of the Load Boss (import) tire that I have on my trailer and the tires were not holding pressure for extended periods.

I did some looking on the web and found some Carlisle Tires ST235/80R-16",.... boy what a higher quality. I went with radials, now I want 4 more.

What did you pay for them ? I got some off craigs list

I first had the radials, but then found some bias on craigs list.
It seemed that the radials kept the trailer very straight on the hiway. But really dug in around town. I have 4 tires on my trailer.
The bias tires wear quicker.
Keep a eye on how they wear, so you can add air or deflate the tires. The radials wore quick in the center so I lower the pressure on them.
The radials are the way to go. I got a great deal on craigs list for the bias

Thank You for the info, I would keep an eye out for the wear pattern. The tire shop only inflated it to 40 lbs but I could not tell until I put a guage on it. They are tuff skined, I tell yuh!

I bought 2 new tires year before last when I bent an axle and replaced it. I am not sure of the brand but they are great tires and ride good. I only paid about $70.00 each for 15" tires.

When I bent the axle the insides of the tires were wearing out very fast.

I use Commercial T/A's. They last three to four times as long for me, and are less prone to punctures. They aren't that much more expensive, either. BTW, I did have to upgrade to 16 in. rims on my trailers to use them. In fact, I went to them about 3 years ago, and have only had one flat, and that was because my former employee taco'd a rim, hitting a curb texting while driving.

I buy tires on the rim at Northern when they go on sale for $89 or $99. Its a little more than I was paying for tire + mounting, but I can do it myself - rather than sitting and wasting time at a tire shop.

I find that the front axle tires wear faster than the rears, so I also rotate front to back. With rotation, I get about 1 year out of set of 4. I also carry a repair kit, tire sealant and a 12v air compressor/battery jumper/12v plug/inverter combo.

Well I have never done that once! hehehe I have done that 3 times

I found Carlisle Radial Trail ST205/75R15 /D at https://www.vulcantire.com for $76.00 each, shipped to AZ for $11.00.

Thinking about ordering 4. I got a nail in the sidewall of 1 of my brand new tires on my new trailer, first weekend out. Discount Tire won't patch a sidewall. Guess I could go to one of those Jose tires places and get it patched and keep it for emergencies.

switch from the (D) to a radial tire you'll like the way it pulls a lot better:D

I have had so many nails etc... stuck in my tires and sometimes the sidewalls that now I always buy discount tires Certs. If you get a nail in the sidewall you get a new tire for free.

I have always had good dealings with Discount Tires. I will always buy my tires there.
