Parking Garage Guys check in..... When did you

Parking Garage Guys check in.... What year was it when you was able to clean 4 or more garages of 300,000+ sq ft consecutively per year without a break in yearly service?

I was on another forum and ended up calling this guy who was just wrong, in my opinion, about parking garage cleaning 101. He stated that he cleaned parking garages for the last 13-14 years. Came to be that he did cleaned 1 garage 13 years ago and one or so every 2 to 3 years after that. Though he did work on some garages, this is not what I call an expert in the field. It's like me saying that I am an expert in the Coil Cleaning field. I could never compete with the Master of Coils.... Your friend and mine

:bow-down::bow-down::bow-down::bow-down::bow-down::bow-down::bow-down: .... T O N Y ! ! ! :love2::lovies::kiss3:

So I would like to know how many of us who do Parking Structures, actual clean 4 or more ( 300,000 sq ft each cleaning, not a parcel cleaning of a floor or a section ) per year consecutively for the last X amount of years? Anybody....

The above story was from a couple of months ago when I called this company from another site. I waited this long so that no one would take this personal or any embarrassment to ones' company.

I would like to have a survey on who is doing garages with full reclamation. I would also like to note that if you are in this field, that is great ! Everyone needs to start somewhere, including me. I invite you to ask questions, call me on the phone. I will help you to get on the right track if you have a bump in the road. We all been there.

However, one should not be giving advice as if it was from the holy book. If one dose not have the experience, no matter what field they are in, they shouldn't be talking as if they are the Lord All Mighty on the subject. I invite you to work at a garage site, learn, ask questions, but do not give advice based on their 7 garages that one has done over 10 or so years.

In 1993, I think we were doing 6 or so garages a year, and in NO WAY was I qualified back then to be giving out advice about garage cleaning. Especially now with all the environmental issues for garage cleaning.

We have done 7 since march.

I sure don't mean to hijack this mike ............But there's no parking garage forum on here. What do you think is a good size for a trailer? I am looking at a 20 ft gooseneck but am afraid I will be unable to move one around inside a garage. I thought i would be able to take it up and un hook and rehook until its turned around..I want the 20 ft. so I can haul everything.(reclaim) Do you guys drive straight in or back your rigs the garage. What kind of clearances do you see for minimums?

I usually clean about 20 per year, and have for the last 10 or 12 years. 300,000 sq.ft. is a pretty large garage, unless you are counting ceilings and walls. The largest I have cleaned was about 900,000 sq. ft with ceilings and walls. There have been others, but that one was a monster because it was heavily used and had not been cleaned since construction, 15 years previously. It also has not been cleaned since.

The smaller the better, utilize a flatbed truck for the reclaim and trailer for the washer, or run 2 trucks thats my plan.

What do you think Jim?

Yap, I saw something where you started doing garages back in 2000.

There are about two here and no one cleans them.
