If reclamation is used for garage cleaning, what is the going rate for your area?

It won't be long before I can get more. There are people getting out of the business right and left.

Amen Danny. I find the same here. Maybe 25% of the current pressure washing contractors in my area are respectable. The hacks and the part timers are fading into the sunset. I've found plenty of work since the 1st of the year, when I hear others complaining about lack of opportunities.

The downside is that the majority of the new projects I've been biding are so badly damaged, that once they're cleaned, the damage becomes even more evident.

Sorry, back to the thread and to answer Jim's question. In these lean times PM's are barely able to afford the cleaning, let alone the reclamation. At this time, in my area if a contractor isn't able to make at least double reclamation, then it's impossible to justify the expenditure for the reclamation equipment.

That being said, these times will change for the better eventually (no, I'm not drinking the Obamanation KoolAid). And my plans are to invest in a first class reclamation system. But since no one is willing or able to pay the premium currently, my plans to invest are at least a year in the future. Until then, I refuse to take the risks some contractors are willing to take. I will not break any EPA/CWA regulations. If/when required I sub contract the reclamation to a company I have partnered with here in Phoenix.

In Texas, I would think that you may be able to get more...what do you think?

Everything is bigger in Texas does not always mean that they are willing to pay more :hang3:

That is true but like every city out there, you can only get what the market will bear unless there is some enforcement with fine issues so they will have to pay more if they want it cleaned without the risk of getting fines but again, that is where it is being enforced, a lot of cities out there are not enforcing it yet.

We have bid as low as .045 and have been out bid. It is crazy the prices. We have tried selling on quality vs price and it does work for customers that we have done work for in the past, but new PM's have a hard time paying an extra $3-$4k "just for cleaning concrete"
