Grease Duct Filtration Pictures

Ok here is what I kow so far. I just found the name of manufacturer, hopefully no more after I talk to them Tuesday.

(Flanders Airia Technologies) out of North Carolina.



It was hard to get any perspective to the pictures with limited space.

This looks like something I have seen in air cleaners for bars to clear out the smoke.

the store manager told me they only turn on the power when they are going to run the cleaning cycle, which is only every few months. I am pretty sure the power has to be on for this thing to filter properly, anyway it says caution High voltage all over it, thats always reassuring. this is the greas accumulated in the bottom, you can also see mess filters to the left of the picture, it has them in the right ,or exit side as well

Please excuse the numerous misspellings, I couldn't type yesterday, I can't today, and I won't be any better at it tomorrow.
 
Yeah I did talk to him
It was as I had thought. The system is supposed to be cleaned regularly (weekly or BI weekly) and it is supposed to be on at all times, the cleaning part is not that difficult, other than it is really dirty at the moment.
It also has a safety mechanism that shuts the power off when the door is opened, just in case someone would forget to do so before hand.
