Gasoline in My Duramax Diesel

Did they run it. ifnot or not very far drain it, fill it, change filters, roll on

In colder areas, LIKE ALASKA, the diesel can clam up ( Thicken ). Some Truckers have put Gasoline to thin it out the mixture, but only small ratio amounts. From what I understand, it works very well.

For the $1200.00, what was done? Just curious so I will know what to do if it happens to me.

they ran it for about 45 min. till it stalled out. $1200 later everything is fine.:butcher::hang2:

So your looking for new employees?

and if not... that means you found the cure for stupid!!
I suggest you bottle it and retire.

That sucks too bad they can't read...

had one of mine do that to a burner tank..good thing we caught it before we started it. For some reason somthing wasn't sitting right with me that day.:yikes::yikes::yikes:

My employees put gasoline in my Duramax diesel engine this week.:thumbup2:

In straight honest terms your EGT sensor ( Exhaust gas temp sensor) will detect the high heat from the gas combustion and will shut the engine down automaticly as a safety. Drain the tank and lines, change the fuel filter fill it back up . Prime it and go.
If you really need to know pull the injectors and look for scorching or blistering at the tips. if there is none there then the rest of the motor is OK as well.
Just a FYI diesel has 5-8% gas in it anyway to prevent cloging ( more in winter months)

I did the same thing about 2 months ago.....Its 2 in the morning and I pull up to a station in the middle of no where (2 hrs from home and hr from my destination). 3 black handles and one green....Which one do you use ........um the green one not really looking. About 2 miles down the road it dies......Long story short had a trooper friend come help me out. Took 2 hrs draining the tank. Still wouldn't start so we towed it 75 miles for 140.00....After getting there the tow truck driver said let me try to prime it.....ten mins later its running.....changed the filter that day and runs fine.........I did waste 28 gals of gas on the side of the road......
What really pissed me off was the 3 black handle and one green.....green was 87 oct.

Never heard of adding gas into the diesel for the winter months, at the refinery we just added a little bit of jet fuel (high grade kerosene) to the diesel and that lowered the freezing point so it would not freeze unless it was about -40 to -50 degrees.

I haven't tried it, but you're supposed to be able to add some atf (for lubrication) to gasoline and use it in road-side emergencies in place of diesel.

Sounds like an Entec station...lol

Trevor,,,stop by Lowe's in the morning and go to the paint counter and requests a stir stick for a 5 gal bucket of paint........works great on my 3 yr old....LOL may want to try it on your employees....
Sorry to hear the bad luck...
I sold cars for 10 yrs....I was off 1 day and a customer of mine came in and bought a truck......general manager was trying to help me out to keep from splitting my deal with another sales person, so he sends his daughter to the fueling station to get fuel in the F-250......long story short....she filled with gas....
I was able to get the guy in the truck the next day but took alot of my time getting everything taken care of.....(it was a buddy of mine also)
