UAMCC Convention

For all of those that are so inclined, the UAMCC convention is coming up and, if you want, you can see what is happening at www.UAMCC.org Some may think I am going off the deep end here, because I banned them from posting announcements. The reason I did is because I did not want them to have repeated posts with the same information.
Take a look, there might be something of interest to you.

DISCLAIMER: PWI does not endorse or support the UAMCC. We do not guarantee the results or any success from attending their convention. It is an option that is out there.

Our company can't endorse or support this 'so called' convention either. We live about 2 miles from Orlando and can not cost justify nearly $1,000 in total expenses for my partner and I to attend.

We would much rather attend another Round Table event... hands down

Please do not use this announcement to bash the UAMCC. That was not the intention of my post. As with everything, there are choices out there, and people are able to make their own choices depending on what works for their company.

Scott looks like they trying put on realy nice RT. If I had the cash I would be there use the inform they going to give out. I think everyone should go to the RT so they can network and learn from people that more knowledge then yourself.

Thanks Scott for putting that out there!!!! Any chance a contractor was to go to an event like this, they should take advantage of. Weather you agree or disagree with the Org. It really comes down to the information you will gather to help build your business.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend because of Family issues, but if I could I'd be there in a New York Second!!!!

I am just bumping this back to the top for those, like me, that always hit the new post button. UAMCC is allowed to post in this thread.

Guy says it best. ITs going to be a pretty darn good convention and the bottom line for us Convention Comittee guys like myself is to make sure that all...members or not get the most benefit from the Convention. I don't think we can be faulted for that. Rob Huffman has put in 100's of hours as our Convention chair to make this be a great time for all. We do this for all that want to attend.

And personally as many others do we hope we see some of you guys here at the UAMCC convention. Nothing says you have to be a member to have a great time there.

So what do you say?????

I think it was pretty cool of the UAMCC to open the convention up to non-members, you won't hear of many Org's doing that.

I can't stress the importance of using every opportunity there is out there to build your business. Because I will miss this one means someone else (Maybe in my service area) will have the advantage on my business, by something they learned at the convention!!

Anyway, you guys have a great time!!!

Thanks Guy. Scott said that we can post UAMCC stuff in this thread so here it is on my next post just to help anyone who can use some extra bucks.

Hurry up for prize to the last UAMCC Convention sign ups

The Contractor that signs up as the very last one to the UAMCC Convention and I can be shown that as proof they will get a $100 bill from John $ Kathy Tornabene to spend as anyway you wish. Just catch me at the Convention and this bill will be yours. So Sign up now because we are just about to close the books on this and you will recieve this Sponsor Gift from us over at Clean County Powerwashing. Also the last one to sign up at the door in Orlando will recieve a $50 cold hard cash as sposnor money From Clean County Powerwashing. SO get there and get there asap. Do not...I repeat do not miss out on this Convention because it so aint going to suck. What it might be is the best Convention in years for this industry and before Socialism does try to take hold of this country find out what you can do to keep your business profitable and find out now.

So who wants the $100 OR THE $50 DOLLAR BILL???

I hope I didn't go over the line with this post. I'm really trying to help someone who is thinking of not going because of the cost well this little bit of money may help some..I hope.

If any Moderator feels that this post is to much then please remove it. I'm just following what Scott Stone said here that we can talk about the UAMCC only in this post.

Actually, every convention I have been to, either presenting, or as a contractor, was open to non members of the organization. They like to use it to promote their organization. If you decide to join the org, they will often deduct the difference of the entrance fee between members and non members, from the membership fee.

That is a good point Scott. In 2004 I attended the combined convention with the PWNA and the IWCA and it was open to both members and non-members but if you joined you got the discounted rate.

I do not remember if I joined right then and there or if I waited a while.

It was a huge turnout and was great!

I would like to see another huge convention like that one, there were hundreds and hundreds of contractors there.

It is nice when non-members can get in so they can see what it is like, sometimes that can be the final push to join for some people.

It was a good show it seemed as though everyone got something good out of it. It is nice to see all the opportunities that have been created this past year for contractors, and vendors to improve their knowledge I hope it all continues through 2010.

Hmm, free?? I am willing to bet that Dallas, in spite of me being there, let alone presenting, will offer far more information, from experienced contractors, than the UAMCC convention did. Of course, Ken would not know one way or the other, since, from my understanding, he did not go to Orlando, and probably is not going to Dallas.

Every Round Table that I have been to has been great, offered a ton of great info and advice and helped a lot in me getting this new fleet wash account which I would not have known how to do if it was not for the Round Tables, NCE, Ron Musgraves or the great people here I network with.

I don't remember if they all were free or if I had to pay anything but if I did pay, it was not even a day's wages for an employee, what a bargain!

I will continue to go to them Next year also, they are great!
