This is a rig that we are currently working on.

The pressure washing rig / roof cleaning rig is laid out on a LST 6 x 12 Anderson</ST1:p tandem axle trailer with a short gate.
<O:p
The cold pressure washer is a 8 gpm at 3500 psi and includes the gun, wand and 50' hose assembly with downstream soap injection and 5 quick connect nozzles

The customer, Jetstream Pressure Washing, Inc., http://www.jetstreampressure.com/ chose a 525 gallon tank and will add two chemical tanks. An inline filter will be installed as well a nylon filters pulling from the top of the chemical tanks.

<O:pJim is using a 9 hp compressor and a 3/8" All-Flo Air Diaphragm Pump resistant to the "love potion" and all roof cleaning recipes. The filter for the compressor was purchased with the unit. Jim will be able to pump 9 gpm of love (at minimum) up on the roof tops in <ST1:pSouth Florida.

1" yellow ag hose will be installed leading from the tanks to the pump. Ag hose is used on the suction side of the pump because it will not compress.

<O:pHe is using 200' of 1/2" Red Kuri Tec hose with 1/2" mpt brass collared crimped fittngs for chemical hose. He has three Titan reels and several hundred feet of 5800 psi non-marking hose.<O:p

I believe that we will design and weld ladder racks to the trailer.

The rig should be assembled in the next day or two. We will post the final pics in a few days or more.

looks good

Great! more competition. Hahaha! I need a bigger tank! The rig does look darn good so far Lori. Who's putting it all together? Rex?

That will be a nice rig to have!

We invite the customer to help if he or she wishes. Two or three guys are working on it part time. Yeah, Rex, Jim and Wade are working on the rig. Lori

Lori,
Glad to see your trailer is a tandem axle......Does it have a brake on both axles?

I say that because I seen someone advertise a professional rig last week with a single axle........That had to be overweight with a hot rig, 200 gals of water, equipment and trailer weight. Kinda went through me........Almost as bad as someone making treads and removing them because it gets to hot!!!! (Right New York)

I agree with the others there, you may want to move the compressor and air pump behind the tank. at 525 gallons of water your looking at a minimum of 4300lbs before the tank weight and thats over half the gross weight if the axles are 3500 each.

When you look at the pictures, the tank is not secured, probably just moved there to work on securing the machines in the front of the trailer.

That much weight would have to be over the axles and the machines in the front is the weight needed to keep the tongue down onto the truck pulling it.

I am sure that they know all of this because the tank is not secured yet.

I know they know what they are doing, they have been doing this for more years than a lot of us have been in business. hahahahaha

I think that they will move the tank forward since these pictures are not of the final product.

Thank you Chris and Terry. Yes, the tank will be moved. Great questions! You can see that it is not strapped down yet.

I will get the answer to the brake question. My Father built trailers when he was a teenager for their family truck and trailer rental company in the Southeast. He built them from scratch to endure the abuse by rental customers. He has a US patent on a trailer hitch. When he designs a rig, he maintains safety as the primary focus as well as ease of maintenance. He has personally seen the effects of an unbalanced load.

Maintenance issues: Anyone ever have to replace packings or change out v-belts in cramped spaces in the hot Florida sun? Or cut your knuckles in the freezing cold while working on your pressure washer?

We are very open to all of your suggestions and welcome your comments. :wink2:
