help with Bid

I am putting together a bid for this property management company, I have done several properties for them, but this one is a bit larger.

Specifications :

Face of Building in the picture is Stucco, The outer walls and rear side is Solid Hardi Plank.

SQ/FT of Building = 14,568
SQ/FT of Concrete = 2,100

I WILL be reclaiming on this job, and renting a cherry picker. There is minimal rust on stucco surface, and Moderate mildew on the entire building. Concrete is fairly clean, no oil or surface rust.

Nice work, whats wrong?

Hauling away contaminated water/hazardous waste without a waste hauler's license or permit is taking a huge risk, is that job worth the risk of huge fines if you are caught or stopped for a routine roadside inspection?

There are many other issues here like Texas CDL with background check for HazMat endorsement, D.O.T. Registered vehicle, D.O.T. approved waste tank, policies, procedures, gameplan for accidents/spills, etc.... a very long list.

There have been many, many, many posts about this topic this year and in the past couple years, I would read them and see if it is worth the risk operating outide the Federal D.O.T. Regulations (Department Of Transportation) which operates in all 50 states and are really cracking down here in Texas.

Just a FYI.

The company that is doing the reclaim for me, is licensed to haul waste water, and Carries a class a CDL with X endorsement, I have the same endorsement but I am not a licensed nor have an aproved tank.

I have to charge waste water fees becasue we are dumping it at an aproved COH and collecting a manifest for the property manager.

I would make sure that all the paperwork is filled out correctly and go over everything as much as possible before the truck leaves.

Looks like you got it covered, I would not haul anything away.

Looks like hauling contaminated water/hazardous waste will be a booming business in the Houston area, might be something to look into for those with the capital to get the truck and equipment.

I see it this way, Houston is requiring it, most pressure washing companies are not setup correctly and are not legal to do it, someone could make some good money hauling that stuff around.

I wish I had the extra capital, I would seriously look into it.

Some people can reclaim, recycle and reuse the water.......Nothing like knowing what the bid was..........

That price i provided was one of the numbers I was thinking about, I submitted the actual bid to the guy today, With a different price, He seamed pleased.

The company that is doing the reclaim can filter the water for re-use and we will most likely do so, But the excess water will be dumped at an approved COH dump site, and a manifest will be provided.

We also use a closed loop recyle/recovery system. We are also permitted to transport wastewater to approved COH facilities with a manifest sent to the client. The manifest protects us and the property owner.

Good luck with the. It sounded like to me that they are seeking quite a few bids. We don't do alot of residential properties and we are not sure if we are bidding this one or not until Wed. or Thurs.

Please let me know if you win this job and I would like to stop by and meet you.

Will do, Thank you. I have done some work for the guy this year, so hopefully my repor with him will be good as well.

But if you do end up bidding the job and get it, Id like to come along and meet you as well if thats possible, I know your resources can allow you to bid a lower price than me.

Every time i have done a job that requires reclaim I always take the waste water to an approved COH dump site, that manifest really does come in handy.

Dont act like your a PM (that means Property Manager) that needs a price on this project. Please dont waste others valuable time Haveing them look at your project because you do not know how to price or do the work.
