UAMCC Resignation

This was sent out Saturday.
After careful consideration, I am in the need to step down from the possibility of the President’s position, the Board of Directors and Transition Team effective immediately.
I have read things thru and listened carefully to the comments and derogatory remarks made about me. I honestly have to say that I am quite disappointed these things got so carried away with certain individuals and that these things were even allowed to be said. When I joined the Transition Team I joined to bring one more Professional to the Team. At this point I have to say the professional level has lost a step.
As I stated to Carlos on the phone call less than several hours ago even if I was to get elected President of this organization the dissention among the BOD elects it would not be an easy task to create a team of individuals who could take this organization where it needs to go. As the past 14 months showed I stepped up to the plate when I could and defended this organization as best I could. It really saddens me that those things were said publicly. I would really hate to hear the phone calls that have been made.
I hope the individuals that started the chaos can be happy now and the organization can move on. Sadly without me included in the positions stated above at this time. Someone has told me time and time again to pick your battles and after a lot of thought this is just not one I wish to pick at this time. Maybe another day or maybe two years down the road I can have that chance to step back up however; now is not that time.

Rob all thing happen for a reason.Don't let the petty egos and agendas of others ruin your day.There have been problems from day 1,but there were those who chose to stay the course instead of fix the things that could/would drag the Uamcc to it's knees.The wheels are falling off the cart.
Kudos to you and John for standing up for what is right for the Org and the industry.
 
This is a tragedy that is unfolding right before our eyes. The Convention Chair Rob Huffman who Everybody and I mean Everybody said did a great job
except for Jeff Lacour who assinated his character publically on the UAMCC bb with Carlos looking the other way and doing nothing... well this is a Sad day and week ahead for the UAMCC.

This will be in the story...Stay tuned.
 
Rob, it was good talking with you. I wish I would have called you a few months ago. By staying silent, I might have made this problem worse. I am sorry for that.

Dont feel sorry for anything please. I am a big boy...well ok not that big but hey I tried....haha. Thanks for the call and for allowing me to post my resignation. I will leave it all at that at this time...

Thanks too man...this was a very sad moment for me. I never would have imagined doing or even feeling like I had to hand in my resignation. But ....it is what it is...

I sit and watch this, is there anyone inside with any kind of problem solving ability ????

Just doesn't make sense that adult men cannot resolve issues, we keep seeing a pattern over and over again again.

Maybe they should think about putting and ethics committee in place stat.

This is about to get bad, We have talked Ron and I suggested some things to make this be a better board and how you could separate yourself from from all the negativity on this board and I have got to admit, You have distance yourself well.

I realize some of you here like a good fight and some here would like to be the one known to give the Knockout punch.

They are some old saying that our parents taught us and still hold true to today....like
Its takes a bigger man to walk away from a fight or to say he is sorry.
If you have not got anything nice to say don't say anything at all.
then you have biblical teaching say things like ......
Turn the other cheek, it is easy to love the ones who love us, but he tell us to love our enemies and he is without sin cast the first stone.

I personally think this needs to be aired out in others places beside this board.

If someone has a problem with someone, It don't need to be done here for the ones that are not involved to see, it needs to be done in a setting that for the ones that are involved...Like thier board.

Once something is said or typed in anger or hate, it is sharper than a two edge sword and it is imposable to take back.
You will get more respect from Me if you just walk away instead of "Throwing the Knock Out Punch"

I don't have much influence on this board, but I do hope Ron, you can put the right people in place to fix the "problem solving ability"

I just got back from a great Educational event. We spent 4 days in Dallas Ft.worth and it was beautiful.

Since these guys are or were in an organization that purports to represent the industry, I feel it perfectly appropriate for them to announce their resignations here. They can't announce it on the UAMCC board, because it will be deleted, or swept under the carpet. It might even get spun to make John and Rob look bad. That has been a past trend. Since they both were high profile supporters of the UAMCC, and want to make every effort to distance themselves from the organization at this time, they need to make a public announcement somewhere. I understand their feelings and frustrations. I do wish that it did not become a point of discussion, but that is the nature of the beast. Someone is always going to have an opposing view.
For what it is worth, no one from the UAMCC has been involuntarily banned from PWI. That being the case, any one on the board, or transition team, is allowed to post a rebuttal.
Personally, I am not going to hold my breath.

You are very mistaken if you don't think I want the crap to stop. The wall is that if I say no announcements of this kind, someone will scream censorship because I am not allowing the UAMCC colors to show. If I allow it, people scream at me due to lack of professionalism. It all depends on someones perspective. As long as the posts remain on a professional level, in my opinion, I am going to have let them post.
 
I agree with Scott, I have no problem with a member of an organization announcing their resignation and explaining why because people will be asking, especially because of the character and integrity of these 2 guys that just resigned.

How far the thread goes is anyone's guess but sometimes it is nice to know if there are problems so maybe they can be worked out internally within the org and if not then that is a sign for others to see and base their decisions to join on how the org handles these internal problems, if they do handle them or if they are swept under the rug or not.

I would like to know a lot about something before purchasing it whether it is a machine, chemicals, membership, car, truck, etc.... I want to know the good and bad because that helps me decide what I want to do.

The thread can be moved into the area where it is not indexed by the search engines if that is needed or wanted by the originator of the thread or moved or deleted, there are a lot of options of what you can do with threads and posts.
