High Tide Wins Gov't Project

My company just won a government contract with National Homeland Security -- Marine Division to clean the 9 vinyl facilities that house their trucks, trailers and boats. They have hired me to clean these "tents" (3 different sizes) twice (first one now with second one in 6-8 months), inside and out. Requirements include renting a 60-foot lift. Since I have never used a lift before, I have hired Mike Barrett of Barrett's Pressure Washing to assist me in the first cleaning. This job should be a fun one especially working with Mike again. They have one bada$$ cigarette boat parked here with 4 Mercury 300-hp engines on the back for running down anything on the water. We begin the job Dec. 1st.

These vinyl structures cleaned up pretty good. Mike Barrett and I ended up having to brush some of the exterior sides with a strong housewash detergent with F-13 in it as there were some pretty nasty runoff stains that bleach wouldn't touch.

good job guys thats what its all about

Those were pretty nasty looking. Now they look brand new. Excellent job! :thumbup2::thumbup2:

Thanks guys! Nigel, I don't know anything about sealers, much less the polymeric type. That might be an add-on that I need to look into some day. What I don't want to happen is for the sealer to prevent the need for pressure washing...which could reduce my business.

Hahaha! Same thing I was thinking. Can you imagine if we protected everything from ever growing mold on it? We would be soooo screwed!

I have seen some sealers for our industry, the surface would still get dirty, but it should be easier to clean in the future (less time/chemical), hence more per hour.

That would be an interesting thread to read!

David how did you like running the lift?
