I'm trying COX

Grease the bearings. That and the swivels are the biggest problem

Used two Cox reels this season, one for pressure and one for supply hose...theyve been alright, both the painted ones. The pressure is a U channel thats definitely been the best, but my supply hose reel is a large A frame and the paint has bubbled real bad on that one? Who would have thought...seeing as its strictly water. Also with the A frame ones I cant figure out how the drum actually attaches to the disks either, so the disk kinda works it way out over time and you have to pound it back in or else it hits on the pin lock.

I scraped and repainted the supply hose so hopefully it wont bubble up and rust again, not getting an chems on or through it so hopefully will keep lasting

Update....I took all the hose off my old Cox the other day to reinstall on the trailer...the drum is crushed inward and the welds are breaking (they only use 3 spots welds). I would stay away from Cox

Gee thanks....

I just had three delivered the other day!
We use Summit reels and Hanney reels. Hanney reels hold up much much longer. We sand, scrape and repaint the summit reels every winter.

This summer I finally purchased 3 brand new Hanney electric reels 350 footers (big boys). Sunday we installed them in one of our enclosed trailers Monday the trailer burnt to the ground. Never got to use them...:shout:
