Truck Lettering/Wrap

I've been thinking along the same lines myself. I want to get a wrap but Meleani thinks it's a waste of $$$ and believes the same thing may be accomplished with magnetic signs. 'What says yee'?

Truck wrap has worked great for me, i can send you a picture if you want.

yea i had that same problem, but magnetic signs are plain and dont really have the "wow" factor. if people dont find something interesting they aretn going to read it. thats just my .02

My thoughts exactly!!:big_boss:

Spend the extra cash if you got it. It sends a message that you are a pro
not a fly by night.

Cost me about 300 it was well worth it. Thats the sign on the back of window and doors. I had the magnetic signs for a long time until one blew off.

Scott, that looks perfect, not too much like a full wrap but just right. Is that something you can apply yourself and maybe order online or is it something we will need to have done for us?

Wraps are cool looking- often so cool looking that you can't really tell what the hell is going on. If you just want a really cool looking ride and don't care about using it for advertising go for the uber-wrap.

If you want everyone who sees your vehicle to know exactly what you do and how to contact you get regular lettering and K.I.S.S.

this is what i did
I first took a picture of my truck then, on my computer I cut and pasted my logo on the sides of the truck (on computer) and on the rear window,
I try it many. many times and printed them out diffent sizes and ask a lot of people of what they like

Then I brought my proof to a company named U-Name it 386.446.9100 Joe Also sent my logo thru email
He shot me a proof and did Sat moring at his shop
I have a lot of very good coments on it

Now if I can find some one to do my web site over

Yea I can see where it can be taken WAYYY overboard. I guess like everything there are some advantages and disadvantages. Thanks for the input everyone.

I paid $250 for stickers that were supposed to go on the tanks, but they looked awful. It was too much, too cheesy, too tacky. I removed them right after.. Just letters (not magnets) on the doors is perfect in my opinion.

I did the back glass on both of my company vehicles, tailgates and both sides and the back doors of my 16' enclosed trailer, all for about $200.00

Mine is pretty simple. But, like Thad stated, people know exactly what we do.

You have to be careful with a wrap. Make sure there is enough contrast with your text and background image. I've seen some wraps that were a complete waste of money simply because you couldn't read a thing without studying the vehicle. I think if I were going to do a wrap, I would do a half wrap, with just text on the other half. Let the picture complement the text.

Here is what I went with, more kinda towards roof cleaning but it helps people get the idea. Both sides, tailgate, and trailer signs for about $300.

Lettering is easier to read, but wraps really grab attention. If you do a wrap make sure it stays simple so the customer can easily reconize the important information. I went with normal lettering, but may do a wrap in the future.

I think Don form All Season's Exteriors has some of the nicer wraps I've seen. His vehicles really stand out, but are still readable.

I had the tailgate of my truck wrapped, small wraps on the sides of the truck bed, the back window lettered and the sides of the bed lettered all for $300.00

It paid for itself from people calling after seeing it in less than 2 weeks. One customer was a realtor, a doctor and a teacher from what I remember.

Within 3 months I had about 60 calls and about 50 jobs from those calls from the truck wrap/lettering.

It has been 2.5 years and the wrap is starting to fade so it is time to replace it, just trying to figure out a good marketing message, not just something cute or pretty (cute and pretty won't really get the phone ringing).

Chris you got a picture of it?
