Mahogany stripping

I am about to clean a mahogany deck that was built
in two stages about 6 years apart. Old section is
currently sealed with Massner's and I want to restore
the wood to as near a possible to match the new wood.
My question is what would be a safe stipper to use
on mahogany so that it does not discolor the wood? I plan to seal the deck with Penofin for Hardwood once I am finished cleaning. I do plan to use Penofin's Weatherblaster
on the wood once I have removed all the old sealer.

Test Patch, Test Patch, Test Patch.

If you can determine if the previous sealer/stain is an oil base, you can use a sodium hydroxide based stripper, I would suggest do a small test patch, with a (diluted) mixture, let sit for a minute brush with a toothbrush light pressure, then run you fingernail across the area, if stuff comes off you know it is oil, It will turn the wood darker, because of the alkalinity in the sodium hydroxide, after you rinse this area with water then splash some acidic wood brightener on it, like oxalic acid, this will return the wood to it's original color. Just remember not to leave this solution on the deck too long. I'm not fimialiar with Massner's it may not be oil. it may be water based then we need to use a second approach.. keep us posted after you do a test patch.
