Setting up New trailer

Ok, the time has finally come. I've talked about it for 2 years now, but I'm setting up the new trailer. The trailer I use now has been in use for 10 years, and the one before that was in use for 10 years. I'm keeping the current trailer in the fleet, but looking to build one with all the bells and whistles. I need some help deciding on accessories, since it's been so long since the last build.

So far I have the following build sheet:

Trailer: 2010 Carmate 7x14 Enclosed with Dual Axles (6,000 lbs each)
Unit: Hotsy 8gpm, 3500psi, 20hp Honda Hot Water Unit with Generator
Unit #2 - Custom 18hp Briggs 5.5gpm, 3500psi, Cat Pump Cold Water

Going to get the floor industrial Epoxy'd and up the walls 4 feet so chems, water, debris won't be an issue.

I'm putting in 2 Stainless Steel 6" Commercial Floor Drains for obvious Reasons

Flourescent Lighting with 3 Waterproof Receptacles

Tank for Chems, Tank for Water, etc.

What lines are you guys running, what valves, and more importantly: What Dual Stacked Stainless Reels do you recommend? Right now I use Coxreels, but overtime as the finish gets sraped off, they rust. Looking for some stainless steel reels that can be stacked for feed line and pressure line. Anything else I'm forgetting? Thanks!

Yes, I did build this trailer, I'm going to attempt to post some pictures...

I'll get some more photos of the final product. There were a lot of additions after these pictures. And from what you can see, there were a lot of changes to the original plans along the way. EVERYTHING on this thing is Stainless (Built for the long haul). For what we do, this setup works great! Next month I'm going to set up another trailer like this one.

Sounds like you are on the right path. A few years back I favored the Titan Reels. Ask JL Pressure Washing for his input. We spoke a couple of weeks ago and he said the newer ones were not the same as the ones I installed in the rig I built for him about six years ago.

I cant see the photos either. We are just finshing up building yet another trailer now. Just waiting on my sign guy. Now we need more room at the shop to park all of them!!! Thats the problem we have.

I cannot see any pictures either, would be nice to see what some of you guys have made.

Here are some of the initial pics guys. I don't have any newer ones yet. These show the custom setup though. Lots of fabricating.

EVERYTHING is Stainless Steel. I had the slides for the reels made from Stainless steel, I had the plates made of 3/4" Stainless Steel Plates that rotate 360 degrees, I had the exhaust made from Stainless for the Hot Water and I had a Stainless Steel Exhaust made from the muffler to the main stack. Everything else is Schedule 40 or 80 PVC. I can feed from the tank OR direct feed or both. I can go to the small float tank on the machine also. I put valves anywhere feasable. I really put thought into this and got some tips from here that was very helpful. Setting up another trailer or two this year if all goes as planned. (Crossing Fingers). VERY Happy with the setup for functionality.

Thanks. I had them fabricated by specialty shop. The whole reel setup was expensive. The slides, Stainless steel plates, the ball bearing rotating shaft, the fabrication, etc. But... I plan on it lasting. It's so nice pulling up to a job and being able to park the trailer wherever I need to with the rotating reels. I have pinlocks set at every 45 degrees so I can lock it in place at those locations. The slides did accumulate dirt and debris this past season but nothing that a can of Brakeleen didn't clear out in 2 minutes.

The slides for the hosereels is a great idea.

The rig looks great.

I bet a lot of contractors will like the slides for the hose reels.
