This is very interesting video, I see some positive and some things that could be done different.

Two minor mistakes, but a good job.

Watch the Video and see if you pick up what you might change in the delivery.

Great Job using the refference, thats what got you the time to pitch her.
 
Speaker phone. I hang up on any one that calls me using it. Good hustle other than that.

Now remember not just the bad stuff, the best thing he did was pick up the phone.

I know you dont do much cold calling.

He made two big NO NO's

She still took his invite because of the refferal lead, but she hung the phone up and reflected on the two mistakes he made. The next phone call might have been to the refferal.

I'm interested in how the meeting went or if she dodge him after she call the reffering party.
 
That and it is illegal to record someone without their permission.

In some states only one party has to give permission.
Mississippi is one.
Arizona is another.

Not true. It is legal in most states to record a phone conversation as long as one party agrees. It depends on the state.

If more than one person is on the line ( eave dropping ) it can be construed as wire tapping. These are different rules.

I said uhm too much, I came across a bit nervous, I rushed the call, I didn't have my sales sheet in front of me, i was not on a head set (for video purposes), I was not taking notes, I rambled a little too much about the other property ...


On the positive side, I did close her and was $200 higher per cleaning than the previous company, we cleaned the breeze ways last week. 2 guys 8.5 hours 1800 dollar this will now be a monthly account! She also gave me a rocking testimonial and said feel free to use me a a reference!

Many people have a problem with criticism. Self criticism is even tougher. That's why they never get better. You learned from it and closed the deal.

You did a good Job Dj, I remember when first told you about knocking down doors. I'm glad to see your doing it. I'm also glad to see you handling yourself and learning about this Art.

Yes its and Art, this is one subject I do consider myself to know about. I may know more about selling, Advertising and marketing then I actually know about pressure washing.

Heres the two fundamental mistakes I saw. (Get a set appointment) ( never Mention someone else makes decisions) The appointment thing you will learn after you have had the people that say just stop by but they are never availiable. The mention of the BOD making choices we all know is a reality. Stay away from that talk until your intimate or have had more converstations.

I also was pumped. Now that gets me charged for sure, the best feeling is when they sign the contract. The number one thing is when I recieve the money.LOL So Money, Ink & positive feeback.

Great Job DJ. Just doing that cold call is hard enough but your right it gets the confidence going to the point you want to do another right there and then.
My wife does the cold calling for our business because I just hate it and it shows when I do it. What I do at times is pursue a job and continously touch base to see how there going. I also push myself into bids that werent even asked but since I offered to do it they said yes.

Case in point is this Movie theater we just powerwashed at the end of March. They didn't asked by I am trying like heck to get them to let me seal this building to the point that I put out a whole proposal and even tracked down the maker of the block they used. My proposal is now going to corporate and if it works the sealing job will net me at least $50,000 for at most two weeks worth of work. It will be Tedious but we have the ability to get this job done right so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Along with the Powerwashing job this whole job will be in the $90,000+ range and that is because we can do a great job and serve there need and also because between me and my wife we double team the companies that we want to work for.
 
Dj seeing your Faults and corecting them is whats making you a power house. Some old guys are stuck in the same place because they do not see or want to chnage faults.
